2018 started us out with a super moon in Cancer which occurred on January 1st at 11° of Cancer. This was a powerful opener and testament to the importance of being in touch with our emotional selves. Our feelings. Our need to understand the psychological undercurrents that guide our actions.
The revolution will be healing. Or not at all.
Cancer’s waters remind us that not all things broken apart heal back together, but if we don’t understand the jagged edges of our inner lives, we will recreate the pain of our pasts.

The full moon reminds us to take the first two weeks of the year to cleanse. Reset. Regroup. We aren’t energetically programmed to respond to the Gregorian calendar. It has no significance save what some men made up a long time ago to keep things on their schedule. Or what we willingly give it. From the Mud Comes Clarity
One of the most interesting astrological events of January is the interplay between Mars and Jupiter in Scorpio, and the sun, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn.
On January 6th, Mars and Jupiter come together to make a conjunction at 17° of Scorpio. On January 8th and 9th, the sun, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn all collide between 18° and 19°. As these planets come into conjunctions in their respective signs, they all end up sextiling one another over January 8th, 9th, 10th and 15th.
Little themes pick up on bigger ones, concocting a powerful potion.
