We have an exciting opportunity for a Copywriter to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.

The Job
Chani Nicholas Incorporated is seeking an experienced full-time copywriter. This individual will craft language for creative campaigns and act as a guardian of the CHANI brand voice, ensuring that all copy is in line with our house style.

What You’ll Do
As a Copywriter at CHANI, you will…
- Craft creative copy for emails, social media ads, landing pages, product descriptions, podcasts, app headlines and pop-ups, product packaging, and other assets/channels;
- Differentiate products through benefit-driven copywriting;
- Effectively communicate product features, technologies, and usages to the CHANI consumer;
- Break down complex terms and concepts into accessible bite-size pieces;
- Deliver copy that is concise, search-engine-optimized, accessible, and consistent with the CHANI house style;
- Introduce new users to the brand and educate them on our products and values;
- Ensure that all grammar, punctuation, and word choice is correct and that all brand copy is ready for publication;
- Work with the Director of Copy to uphold and expand the CHANI brand voice, as needed;
- Collaborate with members of the Copy, Marketing, Sales, Design, Product, and Production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials;
- Enhance clarity and remove ambiguity wherever possible;
- Support in the proofreading of print products; and
- Perform related work as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate has…
- 3–5 years of rigorous copywriting experience;
- A degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a related discipline;
- An excellent knowledge of the English language, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and nuance;
- A deep love of voice, consistency, style guides, and wordplay;
- A relentless attention to detail;
- A penchant for meeting deadlines;
- A familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style;
- Experience collaborating with writers, editors, designers, and marketers;
- An aptitude for clear and thorough communication;
- Experience in writing for both brand marketing and direct marketing initiatives, including (but not limited to) email, paid media, social media, product, and website copy;
- An innate understanding of brand voice, tone, and execution standards;
- A basic understanding of astrology and an eagerness to learn more about it;
- A strong knowledge of on-the-page and off-the-page SEO tactics;
- The ability to quickly adapt to a comprehensive brand style guide;
- A passion for using language and word choice as a harm-reduction tool;
- Excellent organization and time management;
- The ability to accept, apply, and provide constructive feedback;
- The ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting;
- Knowledge of user experience principles and methodologies; and
- Proficiency in Google Suite.

The Interview Process

The Job
We’re looking for a dynamic, data-centric marketing leader with experience leading impactful, revenue driving performance marketing efforts. As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will lead customer acquisition, retention, lifecycle, and marketing measurement efforts for both the CHANI app and our online store.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a team of marketing and analytics professionals to plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various channels including SEO/SEM email, push notifications, social media, influencers, affiliates, and paid advertising;
- Evaluate and implement internal digital marketing platforms and measurement infrastructures to support automation and data-driven decision making across all marketing channels;
- Utilize consumer insights and data to develop custom user journeys that enhance the overall CHANI app and online store experience;
- Develop goals and KPIs for all customer acquisition and retention marketing initiatives while regularly monitoring performance to identify areas for optimization;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, content, brand marketing, and engineering to align on overarching business goals and data reporting;
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders around marketing innovation and new avenues for revenue growth; and
- Create a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability within the team, while fostering team growth and professional development.
Who We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of professional experience in digital marketing and analytics, including experience managing teams;
- Proficient in data analysis and A/B testing methodologies to optimize performance;
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts;
- Proactive and adaptable in an agile work environment – someone who embraces change and is confident leading in uncharted waters;
- Proficiency in marketing measurement, analytics, and automation platforms, (e.g., Amplitude, Mailchimp, AppsFlyer, SEMrush, etc);
- Experience in e-commerce strategies on Shopify;
- Basic understanding of Astrology strongly preferred;
- A commitment to CHANI Inc.’s mission of supporting everyone in living their purpose;
- Be able to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 100% of a typical working day;
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is legally able to work in the U.S.; and
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
