#AstroProTips
*Please note that I only write about the major aspects of the week
I am not going to lie. This week’s astrology is Twilight Zone material.
Astrologically, we are swimming in some pretty thick soup. Distractions, deceptions and lies are at an all time high. This is the nature of mutable squares and oppositions: disruption, diversion and indecision. This is exactly what this week’s full moon in Gemini is highlighting.
Happy holidays. You might want to consider staying sober for this one.
Monday, November 23rd
Venus in Libra opposite Uranus in Aries
Mars in Libra sextile Saturn in Sagittarius
Venus opposing Uranus speaks of unforeseen relationship issues popping up out of nowhere and shaking up our everyday life. Sometimes this can help us to innovative ways to rework our intimacy issues. Sometimes this can stimulate unforeseen connections. Sometimes this can test the strength of bonds that we thought were solid.
Mars sextile Saturn is sweet, stabilizing our actions and anchoring our efforts. It’s a small note of sanity in an otherwise unruly week.
Tuesday, November 24th
Mercury conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius and squares Neptune in Pisces
Nothing conjoined to Saturn feels very good. Every planet suffers a little (or a lot) when they sit too close to the Burden of Becoming. Saturn brings Mercury cold, hard, logical facts. Saturn brings a smack upside the head and calls it reality. Saturn loves to stop us, impede us and halt us in any and all ways.
So go with it.
Meditate. Study the way your mind likes to make you the most important aspect of your day. Study the way your mind loves to be distracted by the past and the future but has such a hard time being in the moment. Study the way your mind wants to wage wars. Study the way your mind wants to shame, blame and tame everyone around into submitting to your will. Study the things you think are impossible and see if it isn’t your thinking that makes it so.
And if you think Mercury retrograde is bad … BAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Mercury square Neptune is all kinds of confusing.
But at least the effects of today’s transit will only last a couple of days.
Don’t be fooled by your own delusions. Don’t buy into the fantasies of another. Don’t trust your GPS. You are more likely to get where you want to go by intuition alone.
This is not a day to skip over details. It’s too likely that we’ll get derailed by a million diversions. Be as mindful as possible and, if you can, use this energy to write poetry, create healing images and anything else that gives you a positive impression to work with.
Wednesday, November 25th
Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Mars in Libra
This is a nice little aspect that could help us cut though some of the confusion.
Full Moon in Gemini at 2:44 PM PDT
Read all about this doozy in a piece I’ll publish tomorrow.
Thursday, November 26th
Saturn square Neptune
This is also explained at great length in tomorrow’s full moon piece.
Friday, November 27th
Moon enters Cancer
Chiron stations direct at 16 degrees of Pisces
Super duper feels day. The moon is strong and at home in Cancer, the sign of tribal/familial bonds and emo-extravaganzas.
Chiron in Pisces speaks to our psychic wounds, our spiritual wounds and our emotional wounds. When the planet stations direct it has a deepening effect.
Cry at your leisure.
Sunday, November 29th
Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces and conjoins Saturn
The sun is the light of conscious awareness, identity and ego. When the sun brushes up against Neptune in a square situation, all kinds of losses can be felt. Loss of ego. Loss of self. Loss of boundary. Loss of our ability to make sense of the world. All of the confusion is temporary so don’t make permanent decisions right now.
The sun and Saturn work in opposition to each other. One brings warmth, light and life (sun) the other brings cold, dark limitations (Saturn). One is the representation of the unlimited, creative life-force. The other reminds us that we all get old, sick and eventually die. Today can feel limiting, overbearing and like a ball and chain. Responsibilities seem to sink us. Take it slow. Take the shape of a master. Move at a rate that won’t deplete you. Go to bed with the sun’s setting rays if you need to.
*Horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know your rising sign, please read it. If you don’t, read your sun sign. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both. Take what works for you, leave the rest. There is no right way to do this, it’s all just a friendly suggestion. If you find inspiration here we love and appreciate donations. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!
Aries & Aries Rising
Wednesday’s full moon highlights your 3rd house of communication, siblings and the travel that you do during your day-to-day life. Something about one or all of these areas of life might be especially complicated at the moment.
Don’t take the bait from siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles or friends that feel like family if you see them during the holidays. Don’t offer them any either.
But if you do, use any conflicts or confusion to learn something about the nature of your ego. What communications trip you up? When does pride trip you up? When do your expectations trip you up?
Figuring out what to say to someone or how to say it might also be less clear or straightforward than you’d like.
Life is like this.
There are nuances and sides to each story. There are issues that might not resolve themselves now or even in the immediate future. Develop the capacity to sit with the complexities. Develop the trust you need to deal with the uncertainties of life. Develop the compassion it takes to see a situation from multiple perspectives while at the same time stating your needs and beliefs clearly and without disrespecting, devaluing or disregarding anyone else. Work on rewiring your mind so that you see every bump in the road, miscommunication and crossed wire as opportunities to flex your muscles of maturity.
Taurus & Taurus Rising
Since most of the issues in your chart right now pull focus to your financial matters, it’s extremely important for you to be forthcoming with what you owe, what you can make and what you’ll need to pay in the coming months.
Wednesday’s full moon wants you to get responsible with your spends. Wednesday’s full moon wants to burst your bubble when it comes to any fantasies you might be living with when it comes to your financials and what you might believe money can buy you. Wednesday’s full moon wants you to take responsibility for the financial agreements that you’ve made and I suggest making sure that payments are prompt and precise.
This month’s lunation may also want you to come clean about the energy that you share with others. What emotional relationships and intimate intertwinings have your knickers in a knot? What might you need to become more fully conscious of in terms of your connections with others? What psychological issues, complexes and fears are being created by uncertainty about what someone else wants or doesn’t want? Is there a way to work towards clearly defining your roles with each other? Is it you that wants to stay in a noncommittal space of nuance? Whatever your needs, they are justified. Just be clear about them or be transparent about your process to become so.
Gemini & Gemini Rising
There is a very interesting, complex and curious full moon happening in your sign this Wednesday. It wants to highlight your side of the equation. It wants to balance out the budget between you and your significant others. It would be a good idea to hold yourself accountable for any messes you might have had a hand in creating when it comes to your closest comrades.
What are you communicating to others? What are you able to be transparent about? What are you still confused about when it comes to the formation of your relationships? What authority have you given to another? Are you making someone else the withholding, judging parent? Are you allowing/asking another to be the boss of you? Are you taking on too much of the burden of the relationship? Family, colleague, and client relationships are all applicable here.
Reclaim your power by showing up in each relationship you co-create as an equal. If they don’t see you that way you simply don’t have to play. If they don’t treat you that way you might wonder why you are there in the first place. If you don’t present yourself as an equal you can’t expect others to. Model how you want to be treated by treating yourself so well that you swell with your sense of self.
Cancer & Cancer Rising
With a full moon highlighting your house of ceiling therapy, cloud gazing, eyelid closing and resting of all kinds, I suggest you be willing to sit out what you know you don’t want to participate in anyways.
You don’t have to attend every function. You don’t have to be up for running every race. Your body might need a break. Your unconscious might be on overdrive. You might need time to sort out some of the more difficult aspects of your make up.
I suggest that you do something, some kind of daily activity, some kind of meditative practice that helps you work out your more minor psychological patterns, ones that tend to build up like plaque in your consciousness. It’s this conscientious observation of your way of dealing with difficulty that will serve you so well right now.
Especially if it has a spiritual quality to it. Especially if it is something that keeps you honest. Like really honest while at the same time demonstrating to you that healing is possible, change is possible and growth is possible if we are committed to doing our own work.
If a spiritual practice doesn’t help us confront, deal with and love the most resistant, crumpled and difficult parts of ourselves, it isn’t one worth doing. The deeper you go with this philosophy over the next few years, the more relief you will receive.
Leo & Leo Rising
What dreams do you have to fulfill? What creative projects do you want to bring into reality? What issues around children or artistic creations are you struggling with right now? Who are you working with to get some or many aspects of these dreams and hopes accomplished? What issues have come up around what is realistic of you to work towards?
No one has time to travel to a mirage. No one has the energy to spend chasing fantasies. No one can afford the cost of staying asleep.
Wednesday’s full moon illuminates all of this and then some.
It’s always important that we try not to pull the wool over our own eyes, but right now it is double, triple, super, duper important that you don’t do that as it relates to love, sex, children, friends, future plans and joint financial ventures. It’s a strange mix I know, but these are not simple times and this full moon is not wrapped up in a neat little bow.
No.
If we don’t stay conscious right now about the way in which we relate to our hopes for the future, it could open up a Pandora’s box of difficulty. If we refuse to grieve our pasts, we are sure to relive them in the coming months. If we refuse to let go of trying to control how our dreams manifest we are sure to lose sight of the good that lands on our doorstep. If we are unwilling to address the fear that keeps our fingers so tightly wrapped around what we grasp for, we are sure to cut of its circulation completely.
Virgo & Virgo Rising
Perhaps one of the oddest things about being a human is that we so often refuse the very things that will help us move forward. Things like facing the truth about our pasts.
Past patterns haunt us. They dog us. They can make us act in all kinds of obsessive, out of control and contorted ways. We will go to any lengths to not face our fears. But most of the time these patterns need only be brought to consciousness to be understood. They need not be surgically removed, fixed or solved in order for us to live our lives well, but they do need to be worked with in order for us to fully move into our purpose.
This week gives you ample opportunity to face a past hurt or unhelpful idea about yourself. This week gives you a chance to stand up to an old criticism. This week can give you clarity about what you have been trying to avoid.
Wednesday’s full moon makes it harder to have quality downtime at home. It happens in the most public part of your chart. It will most likely affect your career. It will most likely affect your reputation. It will most likely affect your way of being in the world. You might feel a little uncertain about what that should look like right now. You might be a little resentful of the fact that you can’t have the kind of weekend that you need. Or want.
Try to stay present. Try to give yourself what you need in the moments that you need it. Try kindness. Try simplicity. Try working with what you are clear about instead of focusing on where there seems to be only confusion.
Libra & Libra Rising
This week opens up with your ruling planet, Venus (love and connection) in a stark opposition to Uranus (breaks and changes). In preparation for such a transit you might want to ceremoniously smash something and use the pieces to create a new image. Or take a moment to look at the works of mosaic artists. Take in the beauty of all kinds of reconstructions.
Also, take note of the relationships that have changed and the aspects of your self that have grown or are being reformed.
Wednesday’s full moon occurs in the area of your chart that has to do with your ideas of the world, your philosophical outlook, spiritual experiences and travel. How do you view the shape of things? Do you focus only on what isn’t working? How do you decide what is worthy of your appreciation and what isn’t? Who says broken isn’t beautiful?
This part of your chart is also about working with systems of divination and the information that you might receive from them. Remember to ask the questions that you are willing to hear the answers to.
And when you get the message, hang up the phone.
Don’t waste your time living in a fantasy. Don’t waste your life wishing one thing was another. Try not to get caught up in the age-old arguments that love to arrive at family time. Be willing to walk through tricky conversations while keeping your integrity intact. Listen to what people tell you, but more importantly listen to yourself while it’s being told to you. That way you are less likely to become overwhelmed, over-embroiled and overwrought.
Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
While Wednesday’s full moon pulls focus in the area of your chart that is concerned with debt, loans and creating through collaborations, the majority of your week’s astrology is focused on your ability to make and create through your own contributions.
It’s always a balance.
But there are some significant lessons to be learned right now about your talents, your abilities and your relationship with your inner resources. There is a certain amount of struggle that you are likely to be in when it comes to your work life and the course it is going to take. A few of you will feel halted, hampered and hung up when it comes to figuring out how you are going to make it all work out. This is all part of the process. It can be painful but ultimately it will be incredibly helpful. There is a certain amount of doubt that’s important to have. There is a certain amount of soul-searching that is necessary for our success.
Let your imagination be in on the game. Allow the images of what having a happy, healthy, and successful life looks like be in your mind’s eye. Allow old images of what you thought you wanted, needed to achieve and blindly strived for fade in the distance if they no longer fulfill your evolving needs.
Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
That thing when the cost of living in a fantasy outweighs the benefits of its protective cocoon. That thing when the price of denying your dreams costs more than the so-called security that conformity promises. That thing when the despair of not becoming what you know you were born to become forces you to push past the image or fantasy that family may have placed on you.
You know, that thing.
It comes to a head this week. But it is not the end of the story. That thing reveals itself in copious amounts throughout the year. It will be back for future revisions. It will be back for iterations. It will be back to test your resolve.
If we want to be happy we can’t live anyone else’s version of us. If we want to be happy we can’t pretend that we are ok living only a part of our truth. If we want to be happy we have to be willing to wake up to the fantasies that we insist on.
Rude awakenings can be the best beginnings.
So can giving up hope on a hopeless situation. Keep working on parsing out your truth when it comes to what you are capable of. Keep working on untangling yourself from your most intimate partners. Let them have their journey. You don’t have to keep them from their lessons. You don’t have to absorb their pain. You don’t have to bear their burdens for them.
This Wednesday’s full moon occurs in your 7th house of intimate partners and significant relationships. I suggest that you meditate on where you end and they begin. The more you are able to see the distinctions between you, the more likely you are to be able to respect both you and them for your unique struggles and ways of coping. Also, you’ll have more of your own energy to move forward with when you do.
Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
There are times when it becomes important to study the nature of our dis-ease. When things boil over or get too complicated to digest we are forced to find a cure for our pain but we also must understand the nature of it.
Anti-depressants won’t heal a broken leg.
Use this week to focus on the correct cure by understanding the essence of what ails you. So often we run in the opposite direction of our pain. Facing ourselves is the cure for all that impedes us.
So is sleeping.
You might find that you need extra amounts of it right now. You might find that you need ample time to decompress. You might find that what is ailing you is simply a lack of downtime. Give yourself extra this week. To roam. To explore. To simply be.
Understanding your current limits, your current needs and your current mental state is your recipe for success this week.
Wednesday’s full moon occurs in a part of your chart that highlights the projects that you are working on and the particulars of it. If said project needs more from you than you are able to give you might need to pull back and scale your situation to right size, ask for an extension or call for some extra help. Sometimes the best creations are born out of creative limits. Work with what you’ve got and ask for what you don’t.
Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
Whether we gather with our bloodlines for holidays or with a family of friends, anyone that we choose to be close to will become the one we must work out our issues with.
There is a certain situation, a certain friend, even a certain potential lover that might be “helping” you to work out an emotional issue or two.
That’s the good news.
It’s good news because if you can view the problems that arise between you and another/many others as a symptom of a much deeper issue or unmet need within you, you are more likely to be able to resolve the projection that it has taken form as.
Most of the issues that we have with others can help us to heal an aspect of our core conditioning. Seek to see what they could be for you in your interactions this week. Know that things are not necessarily what they appear to be. Creative projects might seem stalled, but you’d be silly to look for immediate success in this astrological weather. What you have created might not yet be fully visible. But it will be.
Pisces & Pisces Rising
Wednesday’s full moon draws your attention to the most private part of your life. Family, home, grounding and foundations are pulling focus right now. For those with strained family relationships, this week will have a tendency to articulate these issues. Get extra help sorting out the particulars if you need it. Use your lifeline. Call a friend. Call a therapist. Call a considerate and conscientious support system.
Holidays are about healing and sometimes we need help to get it.
For those with solid family situations, there could be issues that weigh heavily on your kin or something that the family as a whole needs to work through. See if you can be a supportive factor in your family’s healing. See if you can allow each person their own journey without feeling like you need to solve or resolve anything for them.
There is mounting pressure and responsibility for you to contend with either in your career or in your lack of focus on it. Do you feel pulled in multiple directions? Do you feel disturbed by a lack of direction?
Make sure that you are paying attention to what you consider your priorities. Make sure that you understand how to prioritize your most important goals. This kind of astrology can have us running around in multiple directions, wasting energy on things that are merely distractions. Keep your energy moving towards your core values.
