This week brings with it some conclusions. Some full circle situations. Some evidence as to which breakthroughs have actually broken us through to a new understanding, and which have just broken us down.
As Jupiter rounds out its time in Libra, it goes out with a bang. This week Jupiter makes the last of its three oppositions to Uranus. This is an aspect that first happened in December of 2016. This is an aspect that has, at times, felt like a full-tilt, topsy-turvy, circus-style reality show.
But not the funny kind.
Even memes have a hard time making this mess a little less distressing. The Jupiter/Uranus opposition has been the cosmic wrench thrown into the works of Jupiter in Libra’s plans for progress.
Or has it?
Jupiter in Libra’s promise is to expand all opportunities for peace, harmony, connection, beauty, love and cooperation. Uranus in Aries’s promise is to radicalize movements of individuals in extreme and uncompromising ways. The opposition of these two planets has coincided with the very dramatic displays of unrest we have all participated in and/or witnessed these past months.
Where there is injustice, there is pain. Where there is pain, there is unrest. Where there is unrest, there is the need to make right what has caused harm. So healing can occur. So inflammation can be cooled. So justice can be served.
Uranus will not rest on niceties. It exposes platitudes for what they are. No cheap tricks can turn our lives around when Uranus is in the mix. If our liberalism ends when our privilege is put in its place, then we are not actually interested in progress.
We are just interested in excessive self-congratulatory back-slapping while we stay in our comfortable bubbles.
The Jupiter/Uranus opposition has exposed our obstacles to peace. But this aspect has also unleashed a beast. An army of inspired, driven, creative and downright masterful activists, artists and socially conscious movements. What the Jupiter/Uranus opposition has made incredibly clear is that everything, everything, everything is political.
We are either taking action towards building a fair and just world or we are compliant with one that is harmful, unjust and protecting of evil.
On a personal note, this last and final opposition between Jupiter and Uranus reveals what we have been able to grow, given the upheavals. What comfort we have been willing to risk in order to expand. What faith we have been able to rely on in order to take the leaps we need to. Jupiter has been traveling through the part of our chart that contains Libra, promising great things, but also challenging us to give up some old safety blanket in order to do so. Your weekly horoscopes are both a retrospective on that growth and a challenge to make the most out of this last opposition to Uranus.
NOTE: The Jupiter/Uranus opposition is not the only astrologically significant signature this week. As Pluto stations direct in Capricorn, we are privy to the ways in which the old systems are in a very belabored but important overhaul. The process of transformation can be trying, but no step can be skipped. The other important notes of the week to pay attention to are Mercury, Venus and Mars’s movements through Virgo. These planets are in the process of opposing Neptune, trining Pluto and squaring Saturn. This mix makes progress a little slower, but most certainly speaks to addressing fantasy, harnessing our power and dealing with the decisions and the consequences that they come with.
We have no control over the challenges that will be put in our path. We have no control over the lessons that we are meant to learn. We have no control over what anyone else will do with the love that we give them.
This week brings with it important reflections for you to sit with. Reflections about the nature of your relationships. About the nature of the ways in which your life is made more abundant by those around you. About the nature of the ways in which your closest partnerships are helping you to break new ground within yourself.
Jupiter, planet of abundance and growth, has spent the last 12 months traveling through your 7th house of committed partnerships. Jupiter has been trying to help you open up to more connection in your life. Reciprocal growth. Expansive inclusion.
Jupiter receives. Relaxes. Responds with optimism to any opportunity presented.
But Jupiter has been up against a mighty challenge. Uranus. This week, Jupiter makes its third and final opposition to Uranus. The planet of awakening disrupts, derails and damages the containers of cohesion. But, Uranus also liberates us from our deeply implanted, long-term issues. The ones that inhibit us from trusting that what we need is what we also deserve to have. Uranus shakes us, wakes us and makes us understand that life is precious and there is no need to spend it with folks that don’t increase its profound gifts.
This week, spend some time meditating on the awakenings that the last 12 months have helped you to experience. Notice what you have learned about intimacy. What you have learned about what it takes to grow through challenging relationship dynamics. What you have learned about cultivating a deeper relationship with yourself, so that you can do the same with everyone else.
For the past 12 months, Jupiter has been venturing through your 6th house of work. Jupiter has been both magnifying the issues in this area of your life and encouraging you to grow yourself into new capacities, roles and work opportunities.
This week, as it makes its 3rd and final opposition to Uranus, Jupiter brings with it a break from the norm. This transit might create a shift in your work schedule, your work title, or your work itself. This might inspire you to break from your traditional ways of doing things at work. This might inspire you to grow in the ways you know you need to.
This shift has been occurring for the last 12 months, but after this week, it is done.
That means that if you have been waiting to make a move, you might be intuiting that the time to do so is now. But not in vain. Take the planets up on their offer to revitalize your work life, while making sure that you are challenging yourself with new opportunities. Changing uniforms can feel refreshing, and is sometimes necessary, but don’t mistake a new wardrobe for a new work-life.
There is a difference between change and growth. Sometimes they coincide, but never without our own personal effort.
Revolutionize the way you do business with yourself by consciously developing more and more self respect. That will change the way you do business with everyone else and help you to keep growing yourself into the professional that you are meant to be.
For the last 12 months, Jupiter, planet of expansion and abundance, has been transiting through the part of your chart that has to do with creativity, erotic energy, romance, fun, and pleasure.
Over the past 12 months, you have been asked to explore new ways of working with your creative energy. How to expand your life through joy. How to make abundance part of your arts practice. Over the past 12 months, you have been asked to expand your definition of what a lover is, who a lover is, and how to let more love in. Over the past 12 months, you have been asked to grow through pleasure, regardless of how much pain is on your plate. You have been asked to remember that healing has to come through happiness as well as hardcore effort.
But it hasn’t been all vacations by the poolside.
Jupiter has had challenges to contend with. Challenges that have created some chaos, curtailing the ease with which you can access your creative powers. The challenges aren’t all bad, though. They have been demanding that you stretch yourself. That you risk a part of your reputation for the development of your potential. That you get inventive about what it is you are able to do with the energy that you have. Can you move towards your creative calling, no matter if people mock, misunderstand or misinterpret your work? Can you take the feedback for what it is worth? Can you take in the constructive criticism and work with it while refusing to touch the personal attacks with a ten-foot pole?
These last couple of weeks of Jupiter’s transit through Libra will affirm the growth that you have made in this area of your life as well as magnifying the learning still left to do.
It’s not your job to take care of those that don’t care for you. It’s not your job to protect those that don’t honor your boundaries. It’s not your job to make peace with those that only wage war.
It’s your job to find a good home for yourself. It’s your job to understand all the obstacles that get in the way of you doing so. It’s your job to learn all the lessons that you can about caring for your foundations and for those you wish to call family.
This week illustrates the ways in which Jupiter has helped you expand this area of your life over the past year. It points to the progress that you have made in your ability to heal core issues despite the scars that they may have left. Despite what past hurts may have left you with. And without. Despite what you have had to work hard at, no matter the results.
This week celebrates your win and showcases your breakthroughs. Trust your growth. Trust the next steps forward. Trust that you’ll keep learning how to up-level your expansion. Both your home life and career life need you to.
As Jupiter makes its last opposition to Uranus, it helps you to understand, in greater depth, what derails you from reaching your goals.
Over the past 12 months, Jupiter has increased the capacity of what you have been able to get done in a day. However, it has also given you more to say no to. It has put in your path more to busy yourself with. It has put in your environment more to distract you.
One of the most important things for you to have learned this year was what to say no to. What to recognize as a waste of your energy. How to recognize what is not a reciprocal exchange.
And what is.
All that has been able to create abundance in your daily life has done so dramatically well. Jupiter has widened the scope of your reach. Broadened the base of your audience. Opened you up to new ways of thinking and delivering your messages.
This week’s astrology is asking you to recognize the breakthroughs that you have had because of the risks that you have taken in your communications. What ideas and ideals you have been able to show up for? Put action to? Put your back into?
Whatever you have been able to say yes to will continue to say yes to you, well after Jupiter has moved on. That’s why it has been so incredibly important to use your “yes’s” wisely. Whatever “no’s” still need to be exclaimed, this week wants to hear them. Loud and clear.
The assets that you have been actively cultivating over the past 12 months, will return many blessings to you in the years to come. The resources that you have been able to make the most of over the past 12 months will be there for you to draw upon for many moons down the road. The talents that you have been able to take up and turn into something will only grow in their importance and impressive abilities.
This last year has been encouraging you to grow through understanding and cultivating your livelihood more consciously. This has not been a wrinkle-free growth period, however. Over the past 12 months, you have been asked to challenge your self-worth issues. You have been asked to understand why you have a hard time believing in your abilities. You have been asked to expand beyond your fears of failure and into the embrace of all that abundance entails.
This year has exposed where your fault lines and your bottom lines converge.
It’s important to understand how we get in our own way. But we can’t stop there. It’s also important to know how to trick ourselves into our best performance despite our stage fright. Since the show must go on, there is still time to get out there and give them the best performance your resources and your willingness will allow.
Your growth over the past 12 months has been anything but stabilizing. Anything but uneventful. Anything but ordinary.
Your growth over the past 12 months has been anything but predictable. Anything but paced. Anything but preconceived.
Wherever this growth has taken you, whatever you have been able to do as a result of it, whatever you have been able to make manifest with it, is exactly where you should be. It can be a difficult sentiment to accept when life is a little chaotic, but trust that whatever upheavals you are going through are not happening without reason. Whatever upheavals you are going through are giving you every reason to pause and reconsider what it is you wish to grow from here on out.
This week reminds you that change is not only possible but it is inevitable. This week reminds you that breakdowns always come before breakthroughs. This week reminds you that whatever hasn’t worked out recently is incredible information for you to take to heart. The more we know about what not to put our energy into, the more energy we have to invest into what we do want to. Gather up your energy this week and consciously focus it in the direction you most wish your growth to take.
You are on the precipice of great growth. On the brink of renewal. On the edge, ready to leap into a cycle of abundance that you haven’t seen in some time.
12 years, to be exact.
In a few short weeks, Jupiter will return to your sign. The planet that grants second chances always offers us a unique opportunity to bloom. It is a transit that is worth the wait.
This week tries to help you shake off one last doubt before the big planet arrives on your doorstep. It wants to reflect to you the strides that you have made this year. Mostly internal, these strides might have gone unseen by many, but will be felt by most. Mostly internal, the growth that you have made over the past year was meant to help you open up to yourself. Accepting more of yourself. Accepting more of your life. Accepting more of your blessings.
Acceptance of what is, is the gateway to making the changes that we need to make. This week asks you to balance the changes to your life with your acceptance of it. It’s a dynamic kind of peace. One that isn’t attained by merely wanting it enough, but by the grueling internal work that is necessary if we are to release the sorrows that are past their grieving time.
What is done is gone. It’s time to get a move on.
We have to give up control over our life in order to align our self with what is in control of it. This week asks you to embrace that philosophy wholeheartedly.
Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
This week encourages you to double down on your ability to make the right career moves. It asks you to keep honing your ability to spot those that would rather waste your time than take you up on the offer to get ahead together. It demands that you take your drive for getting things done seriously.
It’s not something to underestimate.
In fact the nature of the week wakes up the nature of your professional beast. What you are able to do with the resources that you have on hand is nothing short of transformative. Make sure that you are aiming towards a makeover that can hold the kind of magic you are capable of bringing to it.
As your ruling planet, Jupiter, makes its last major moves while still in Libra, you are given the opportunity to align yourself with those that are interested in and capable of creating the kind of social change that gets your creative juices flowing.
You might sometimes feel that your instincts are too radical. You might sometimes think that your ideas are too big to realize. You might sometimes think that your vision isn’t palatable enough to the masses to be successful. But as long as you are willing to put the effort in, nothing is too incredible to dream up and put your best efforts towards.
The key is finding the right partners to support you. The right groups to get behind you. The right crowd to cheer you on. This week reminds you of the work that it takes to do so, and the rewards that make that kind of effort well worth it.
As Jupiter, planet of expansion and abundance, finishes up its journey through your 10th house of public honors and professional life, you get to reflect on the growth that you have done here. Over the past 12 months, Jupiter has been trying to help you expand your ideas of what it is you can be, what it is you can accomplish, and what it is you can grow yourself into.
Professionally. Publicly. Personally.
As none of these roles are separate, this week reminds you that to expand outward has meant that you have had to make some revisions to your inner life. The need for this dynamic balance has been made more evident by all that the world has been asking of you. Whatever changes your home life has needed to undergo, the aim was to reconfigure it into a more hospitable foundation for your career. A more hospitable home for your to recoup your energy. A more realistic relationship with all those that you are related to.
This week’s astrology illustrates the importance of having a plan. And the importance of being flexible with it. It illuminates the ways in which you have been able to grow your vision for your life over the past 12 months. It points to your ability to think bigger, broader and more inclusively about your future.
The more you are able to put yourself in the picture, the clearer the picture becomes. Embody it. Use this week to visualize yourself in the places and the spaces that you most aspire to get to but, when you do so, remember to bring your body along for the ride. Often times feeling in our body what it is like to achieve a dream or a goal gives us an anchored experience to move towards. Gives us a muscle memory to concentrate on.
This is an important strategy to bring forward with you as Jupiter moves in to your 10th house of career in October. You are about to go through a very important professional expansion. Stay present for it. Stay in your body through it. Learn to anchor it in small and grounded ways. This week reminds you just how important it is to set sail when the winds of opportunity blow, and how important it is to keep integrating the larger moves of our life with the smaller movements of our days and the lived experience in our bodies.
The learning that these past 12 months has brought for you has been about how to expand through the right collaborations. The right way to work with your inheritances. The right way to work with all that you are given, lent and traded.
This week pulls focus on all of the changes that you have gone through in regards to these partnerships. It points to a couple of the still difficult to decipher issues that you have around ownership. Make sure that you follow your gut and intuition when dealing with folks that are unable to be honest. If folks can’t be true to themselves, they can’t be true to anyone else. It’s not on you to take care of someone who can’t figure out their feelings. It’s not on you to wait around while they learn how to, either.
This week works hard to wrap up some of the learning that you have been doing about your own wealth. Energetic. Creative. Financial. Whatever breakthroughs you have had in regards to this area of your life will be important for you to integrate and carry forth. As October rolls around, you enter into a new era of expansion and adventure. A new time of learning and developing your mind. A new aspect of yourself that is less interested in having just any old experience and more interested in having a meaningful, purposeful, joyful one.
