This week Mercury and Venus cross over sensitive, stimulating points that are sure to help us harness some intellectually inspiring ideas and are sure to activate the wounds that still get us riled up.
Venus begins the week by merging with the south node of the moon. The south node is a point in space that is responsible for making eclipses happen when a new or full moon falls near it. It was responsible for the last solar eclipse in Pisces back on March 8th. The south node, in some astrological traditions, can make a planet less of whatever it is – in Venus’s case this can be less efficient at doing her job of connecting and building bridges. The south node, in other astrological traditions, can be a point in our charts that sucks us into unhelpful behaviors, steals our capacity to move forward or is a point of the past that we need to reckon with.
As soon as Venus is done finding her way through the south node’s vortex, she meets up with Chiron, the wounded healer. This is not a week to pretend that you aren’t human, tender, wounded, wonderful and vulnerable to your heart’s deepest longings. With all the previous and present action in Pisces (this week being the last of it for a little while), we’ve been met by the magical, swept away by the strange, and fallen victim to the very sneaky and sometimes subtle erosions of our feelings.
By Saturday and Sunday, Venus enters the degree of Pisces that she is strongest in which gives her a triumphant end to the week. This is the strongest point that Venus will be in for a while due to her place in the sign of Pisces, but also because of her still visible morning star status. This can help us make sense of our feelings and put our sensitivity, our compassion and our empathy towards connecting with others and creating beauty through a sense of spiritual connection.
Mercury, currently in the feisty, independent and confrontational sign of Aries, will spend the week sending a trine to Saturn, squaring Pluto and passing over a conjunction with Uranus, uniting the Uranus/Pluto square. At this point so many planets have activated the Uranus/Pluto square that we can start to see how we use this energy to awaken what we need and release what we do not need to hold on to. In short, it’s not as shocking as it once was and can be quite energizing if we’ve learned to integrate the wisdom of the lessons it’s been demanding we face up to. At the same time, the moon will be conjoining Pluto and squaring Uranus and Mercury. This could add to the emotionally trying nature of this signature.
Mercury’s trine to Saturn early in the week helps us to harness and make use of our ideas but all too soon we may be met with a powerful plummet to the depths of our minds. Mercury square Pluto needs to plumb the deep, can bring a power play or two and unconscious emotional drives up to the surface and out into our conversations. Steer clear of those that want to hook you into a debate that will get you nowhere but tired.
Mercury then saddles up to Uranus, sparking unusual, unique and possibly shocking ideas, communications and inspirations. This is a signature that helps the things that are waiting to be created demand our attention. Uranus awakens our ability to think beyond the normal confines of society. It helps us to create what has yet to be and see beyond the box that we try to stay packaged in.
All in all these are quick moving transits that on the Venus end of things has us encountering the haunting feelings that are yet to be laid to rest while on the Mercury end may have us having to voice our opinions, engage in hot debates or find a way to navigate through the tricky terrain of dialoguing through our differences.
The astrology this week rests between our deep need for healing, compassion and a mindful approach to being in relationship with one another, and our need to be able to tell our truth, act independently and find the courage to do so.
The effects of this week’s astrology is only temporary but can still act like the straw that tips the whole stack over.
*Horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know your rising sign, please read it. Reading your rising sign gives you a more specific understanding as to how the astrology is landing in your personal chart. That does not mean that the rising sign is how you should identify or that it is more important than your sun sign. If you don’t know your rising sign, read your sun sign. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you find inspiration here we love and appreciate donations. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!
There is no better time than now to set your wildest idea free. This is the time to listen to your inner queerdo, elect yourself as the leader of your own personal Freak Nation and let the flag of your unique creativity fly high.
It may evoke the envy of others, but you can’t hide your brilliance because of that sad fact. You may brush up against a bossy boss that doesn’t quite appreciate the fact that some of your ideas are too fly to fail. You might bump into this, and if you do you’ll remember that to care about fitting in is only fitting for those who aren’t willing to fail. For those who aren’t really willing to succeed. You’ve got to risk it to win it and this week is worth the risk.
At the same time, lingering longings, seemingly misplaced feelings and hard to read writings on the interior walls of your psyche may intrigue you. There could be an outer bravado that you’re letting loose with but behind the scenes something much softer is taking place. Old relationship patterns may reveal themselves as a means to forgive yourself for what you once got caught up in, for the pain you used to get mesmerized by or the pain you used to inflict. Be curious about becoming a healer for your own heart by simply listening closer to it.

There may be an opportunity this week for you to straighten out, suss out or simplify a situation that you have with a friend or community member. This week continues the healing themes of the past few weeks and it can strengthen the work that you have done or have just begun in this part of your life.
The main theme is vulnerability. What do you do with yours while in the company of your peers? What do you do with the vulnerability that those around you display? How does it make you feel when someone is open and honest, broken or hurt? How does it reverberate with your own pain? Does it make you want to fix, solve or declare the solution? Do you allow yourself the opportunity to just receive the information and see where it lands for you? Do you allow yourself to be human in the midst of another’s humanity?
For some of you this week may be more about your own hopes and dreams, especially as it relates to love, relationship and what you value most in connection with others. There may be a shift in how you relate to what has yet to manifest. There may be a shift in perspective in how you see and experience actual intimate partnerships or the idea of them. There may even be some amount of healing that happens on a personal level, a healing that has the ability to help you see something in yourself that you could not before.

You have a special role this week as Soothe Sayer, Lie Slayer and Healer of Hardened Hearts. You may find that you act in a more spontaneous way, demonstrating your desire to be heard in ways that surprise everyone around, including yourself. You may find that you are able to tap into something quite unique and unusual. You may be able to connect to folks through your own struggle, through your own pain, through your own process of transformation.
You may be able to act in ways that require great courage, courage that will engender the trust of usually skeptical suspects. You may find yourself channeling the energy of absurdity to help healing occur. You may find yourself not caring one iota about what is respectable. You may find happiness as a heretic and hope as an outsider.
You might find other interesting folks on the fringe.
Through this process of revelation, rebellion and awakening, you may ruffle a few psychological fear feathers. Fears are funny things. We call them into being. Conjure their likeness in the many faces we come into contact with. Fearing is human. Fearing is necessary sometimes and fatal other times. Notice if others want to hang their fears on you and, if they do, politely, kindly, and courteously hand them back.

See everything that hurts through the eyes of kindness. See your oldest wounds, the densest of your defenses, the most heartbreaking of beliefs that you hold to be true through the eyes of love.
Endless compassion is the only remedy for pain that appears unending. Countless caresses are what is needed to fill the void of loneliness. An unrelenting list of why your deepest fears aren’t the only possibility for the unfolding of your life is what is needed when emptiness seems ceaseless.
Notice what you can let in. Notice what you can open to. Notice what heals you. Notice how the effort to protect yourself inhibits the growth that an informed vulnerability can cultivate and notice how much more interesting that can be. Notice what you can teach about this, how it might fold into your philosophy this week and how it can help you remember that any kind of spiritual experience is about healing the lie that we are unloveable.
This week also wants you to watch what comes up in your relationships with others, notice power struggles for what they are and try to detangle your tentacles from them. No need to hold onto a sinking, stinking ship. Put forth the ideas that refuse to conform. Believe in your ability to courageously come forward and tell your truth. Infuse your projects with this kind of daring drive. Think from all different angles and let yourself run with the wilder ideas that infuse your days. Not all of them will be worth following or seeing through, but sometimes the most important thing is to let ourselves roam creatively free with a thought so that we can take some of that untamed talent and put it into the finished product.

It’s really important for you to pay attention to flow right now. What is working? What is resonating? What is showing you the way through easy or unresistant means? What is saying yes to you? What is revealing itself as the way forward? What is bringing you on the best adventure thus far?
Go with what you find personally inspiring. Go where you feel the most creatively alive. Let the flames of fun times be fanned by the breezes of the open road when they can be. You have enough work to get done in the coming weeks. You have enough challenge to contend with in terms of working with your creative energy, working out situations with children if you have them, and working out issues with lovers and/or how you relate to that part of your life.
There’s always something.
But right now, when you can, enjoy the no-things. Enjoy any freedom that you feel. Enjoy any liberation that you are learning from. Enjoy any lessons that are coming to you, lessons that might help you to speak up, teach what you most need to learn and risk revealing what you really think. Speaking honestly about who we are and what we believe in is a spiritual experience, one that is never boring and never not worth the ride.

Learning about the intricacies of how our anger and fear operates is perhaps one of the most important things we can do. It’s how we can learn to stop disrupting our progress or derailing our growth. It’s information that serves us for our lifetime. It’s part of the package deal if we want to embody our power and find our purpose. It’s a must for those that want to muster up the courage to live life honestly. Understanding the internal signals that get set off when life happens around us can help us to lead lives that are self-directed instead of being about simply surviving.
This week may give you some insight into how to work with what shakes you up. How to get the most out of a difficult situation. How to find the healing that you need through the relationships that are closest to you.
Because that is the point of being in each other’s lives. We help the healing happen.
You’ve been in a healing intensive through those relationships that are the most intense. This week is no different but it might help you clear the air about a thing or two. It might help you to find some closure. It might help you see all that you have learned in relationships lately. It might help you see the beauty in the way your heart has broken and healed and broken and healed.

All you need do this week is listen. Listen for the truth that others tell you. Listen for the truth that you feel you need to speak in return. Listen for the nuances of what lies in between the more passionate or in-your-face statements. Listen to the way in which your mind jumps to conclusions. Listen for the ways in which you may interrupt others. Listen to what you usually don’t listen for.
Listen to whomever is in front of you. Really, truly, listen.
Listen also to the chaos that others might bring. Consider if you want to get swept up in their tornados. Consider what help you can be if you’re flying around, unhinged and unable to catch a breath. Consider how helpful you can be when you can’t find your own footing.
Listen for the ways in which you might want to make a statement to those you are closest to. About yourself. About the relationship that you have together. About the way in which you want to communicate within it. Think about the nature of what you reveal to those you feel safest with and ask yourself if there is something that you have been holding back that you are now ready to reveal.

There is a very important harmony happening right now that can help you make use of what is normally or has been unusually difficult lately. It has to do with your work and how you are using the resources you’ve got to work with.
This week offers you some special insight or revelation about a work project that you want to develop. It’s something that you can put into play over the next few weeks. It may be that you have an idea or a foresight about the way you can do business. It may be about the way in which you are communicating to those that you work with. There may be some conversation that, although difficult, is important for you to have.
There may be an issue of confidence that you are trying to wrap your mind around, something that you need to wrestle with, something that you’ll be working on for the next couple of months. Right now there is a lot to learn from what hasn’t been working. Right now there is a solution that is speaking to you but you won’t be able to hear it unless you allow yourself to see your “failures” as gifts releasing you from what you don’t need to be doing anymore.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
You’ve got a good amount of movement happening right now. The kind that can set you on a path of recognition for your original ideas and creative solutions. You’ve got a good amount of intuitive intelligence on your side right now. The kind that can help you jump over large hurdles by seeing a way through problem that few can. You’ve got a good amount of inspiration on your side. The kind that helps you see what isn’t visible when following the rules.
Break the bad habit of following the rules.
Run with a wilder pack this week. Imagine that the normal way of doing what you do does not apply to you. See the unexpected answers. Perceive the unasked question. Inspire yourself to inquire within for the solutions. Don’t rely on those that are unimaginative to help you find your way with this. Listen to the ways in which you might be caught in a childhood paradigm that tells you to behave, be good or be silent. Stand up to old (internal) bullies. Think in terms of breakthroughs. Break through the beliefs that stop you from thinking for yourself. Believe in your ability to find what you need and to be able to recognize it once you do.

There may be something that you need to say to a family member, housemate or landlord this week that you may not want to for fear of messing with your security.
There may be a revelation that you receive that helps you work through a core wound or childhood issue. It may be necessary to take another look at the crack in your foundation. One that started years ago. One that is now revealing the green shoots of new growth that caused the rupture in the first place.
There may be a new way to relate to this fault line. You may be closer to seeing it as an opening. You may be more inclined at this stage of the game to see that having access to soil that is uncultivated leaves all kinds of room for growth of your choosing. You may see new ways to use this room. You may see possibility where previously you just saw ruin.

Consult your oracles. Dust off your tarot cards. Polish up your crystal ball. Watch how the birds fly. Listen to the rustle of the trees in the wind and make friends with the senses you may forget to use. The 6th sense and beyond. Meditate on your questions. Seek to say only what needs saying. Be clear. Banish the clutter in your mind by seeking wisdom from the source itself.
Don’t be too thrown off by minor disruptions in your day. Leave a little extra room in your schedule for fluctuating plans and unexpected but important dates, calls and meetings of the mind.
Find a way to formulate what you have to say so that by the second week of April you are able to put your thoughts on paper or into the world in some concrete way. What you have to say is especially important especially when you aren’t afraid to cause a little controversy. Especially if you aren’t afraid to evoke the archetype of the Soothsayer or Truth Slayer. In fact, you may want to create an image, collage, painting, drawing or sculpture of such an archetype and ask it for its guidance when you get stuck, scared or unsure about what is yours to say and what isn’t.

This week wants you to see your resources in a new way. It wants you to recognize the value of both your sensitivity and your ability to make use of your creative energy. It wants you to heal any assumptions that you have about your worth being linked to how others value you and instead wants you to heal any devaluing of yourself that you may still participate in.
This week wants you to speak up about what your time is worth. It wants you to sell your wares with a sassy style and an attitude of irreverence. It wants you to find the humor in your work. It wants to make fun what you’ve been overly serious about. It wants to make a mockery of money because all things that will come to pass should be roasted once in a while.
It wants you to think about a new way to present what you do. It wants you to do this as a homework assignment in preparation for April’s new moon.
There is most likely a change that has come or is coming to your working environment or career itself. This week, notice what works about your current situation and pay extra close attention to what you would like to change. You’ll have the opportunity to innovate it very soon.
