Aries & Aries Rising

Taurus & Taurus Rising 

Sometimes it’s better to get out of the way. Sometimes it’s better to witness the brilliance of what is transpiring, rather than try to make it better.  

This is that time. 

I know I don’t always recognize my gifts or those that are bestowed upon me. I don’t always know how to count my blessings. This is a human struggle, and I am human. When I begin to obsess over insignificant slights, I will work on helping my mind to see the magnificence that surrounds me. 

I work with this New Moon to embrace being present to the gifts and the grace this moment affords me. 

I don’t need to expel effort so intensely, especially in my profession. Opening to and being present with all that is being offered to me right now might be way less of a challenge than muscling through the day. 

Good things are overcoming the hard things right now, and I want to be here for it. 

When I stop trying to contort myself into the shape of success that the world has outlined, I come into alignment with what true prosperity looks like for me. I make it my New Moon practice to unfold, relax, and trust the success of this moment .

Gemini & Gemini Rising 

I don’t have to believe in abundance; it is a fact that makes itself extensively clear throughout the natural world. With this New Moon, I recommit to the philosophies that keep me in a clear and consistent relationship with what is generative, complex, and curious. 

Being reductive is a false narrative.

I know that in order to understand the world around me, I have to be willing to visit the outskirts, so I can move beyond what is comforting, into what is awakening. 

When I intentionally spend time with the part of myself  that has felt like an outsider, that knows the experience of being othered, I can welcome myself home. 

Whatever I am learning about myself, I am also learning about the world. The more I resonate with what I, and the rest of humanity, experiences, the more I am aligned with the healing power of myth, poetry, and story.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

Prosperity is magnified when I lead with honesty. If I want generative collaborations, I need to be specific about my expectations. If I want mutual growth, I have to let folks find their way. If I want to engender respect, I have to begin with it. 

Coddling others is not taking care; it is belittling. I want more from my life than codependency. 

With this New Moon, I work through my fears of being vilified and disliked, and instead focus on being fair. I work through the disappointment that others aren’t exactly who I want them to be, and accept that they are exactly who they need to be.

It may be easier for me to work in isolation, but joining forces will create more abundance. 

Great gifts flow to me through the collaborations I have entered into. Reciprocally abundant seeds are beginning to take root. But if I stay safely tucked inside my shell, afraid of being honest, untouched by the messy exchanges that are needed for my growth, then I’ll never really know what this moment has to offer me. In the end, my success will be determined by which metaphorical dragons I chose to slay.

Leo & Leo Rising

With this New Moon, I witness the power of the right relationships in my life, and the derailing nature of the ones that are off course, even just a little bit. I won’t waste time with what isn’t mine. 

When a union doesn’t fit like a glove, I practice catch and release.

There are partnerships that help me grow and partnerships that inhibit my flow. With this New Moon, I give thanks to those that keep me afloat and say  goodbye to those that merely helped me to pass the time. 

I serve the relationships where the sum of us being together is greater than who we are apart. 

I study my connections to learn all the ways in which I can be a better partner to what we are building together. I allow love to be easy. When it is, I refuse to push, pick, or prod things along. I will not miss moments of pleasure because I am used to high-stakes drama. I will not take for granted what is “once in a lifetime,” or even once in a long time. 

Sometimes the greatest high is giving in to what wants to hold me.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

It is a blessing to know what makes me feel bad. It is a boon to understand what builds up. Like unwashed dishes, what is neglected will expand and stink up a situation. It is necessary to work a little at a time to keep the engines running. Right now, it’s all about what helps the medicine go down and what keeps me on track. 

I am mine to take care of. 

With this New Moon, I take note of the good fortune that is finding me precisely because of all the upkeep I’ve been able to manage. I receive any assistance I am being offered with an open mind and a willingness to share the work in order to get the best possible results. I disrupt the idea that I need to do it all on my own. I value the ease that appears when I need it most. 

When the hard stuff is a little less tough, I praise my good luck. 

The work projects that are getting a boost and the big lifts that happen now are because of the many helping hands that are reaching out to me. I keep my focus on the blessings that ripple outwards because of it, and I always make sure to pay it forward.

Libra & Libra Rising

I can work with this New Moon to create expansive works of art, or I can just relax and enjoy this New Moon by relishing every pleasure possible. 

The spirits are happy when I indulge.

While my appetite might be large, it is on purpose. There is nothing lazy about doing nothing. “Not doing” is also a way to engage with life. “Not doing” can be a spiritual act. When I bring presence to the practice of “not doing”, it is exactly what brings me into balance. 

The fine art of living happens whenever I am accompanying myself, whether I am in peak performance mode or in an all-systems resetting moment. 

Without expectation of any specific outcome, I let myself indulge in the pastimes that help me appreciate the time I have. If creativity comes to me, cute. If accomplishing something comes to me with greater ease, okay. No matter the outcome, I appreciate this moment to do whatever I want. 

I have more than one speed, and this week I am going to shift gears. There will always be moments in life when I need to be busy; let this New Moon be about being in joy. 

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

This New Moon offers me a home for my big dreams of inner expansion. To thrive is a luxury that I allow myself. To regenerate is a necessity that I don’t negate. 

Granting me fertile conditions, this moment makes clear the power I receive from reclaiming energy from the parts of my past that have previously pained me. 

I know that I can always reroute and reroot. 

I love myself enough to admit that no one is coming to save me. Parenting myself is now my job to do, and the gateway to develop all I need to within myself. Taking care of what has been neglected gets easier over time. Getting to the source of a situation is less scary than it used to be. I know that I don’t need to stay stuck in a wound to understand it. 

This New Moon encourages me to beautify my sanctuary, put up images that affirm me, and indulge in comforts that soothe me. No one is allowed to rush me. Nothing is more urgent than making sure I know that my needs matter. No matter what my story is, the past is just a part of me. It is not the entirety of what I will be.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Good news, great feedback, and grand opportunities are on their way. What I communicate now lands with a big impact. The more I speak about reciprocal abundance, communal prosperity, and regenerative practices, the more I understand what it is I need. I’m never left out of the conversation.  

My calendar isn’t a free for all, however. Not everyone gets access to me whenever they want. Not everything needs to be said right now. Not everything should be scheduled within an inch of what is good for life nor given to the first bidder.

Not everyone’s emergency is my own.

Self-care comes in many forms: sometimes it’s a ‘hell no’, other times it is a ‘yes, please’. I do what I can to protect the resource that gets replenished daily but is still limited.

My time is invaluable. 

I know that my wisdom benefits from structure, but it is also born of intuition—I honor the need to be precise and the need to stay open to what is yet to arrive. Planning is necessary, but so is staying responsive to what is percolating.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

I make friends with the material realm. Knowing all things are imbued with the meanings we give them, I choose to work with the earthly plane as one form of how I get my medicine. 

I know that most systems I work within don’t share my point of view. Dominant culture extracts and discards, uses and abuses, takes and never thinks of giving—the epitome of impoverishment. In order to disrupt this deeply entrenched pattern, I have to be wise to it and wary of it.  

Abundance is more powerful than deceit and gratitude; more penetrating than greed. This week, I am being given gifts that help me thrive and will offer me insight into just how necessary it is to speak my mind. I may never come to see the fruits of my labor, but I know that the key to my success lies in my ability to shift culture.

My real job is to bring awareness to how much we win when we are in it for the good of all involved. The work I do extends far beyond me, surpassing my benefit alone. I keep this knowing front and center as I build. The most generative question on my mind is, what I want to leave behind?

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

Being an outsider has its perks. Being able to observe the room has its advantages. Being able to envision the solution, but having to wait for the rest of humanity to catch up, can be beyond frustrating. 

But it doesn’t do me much good to remain in a perpetual state of disappointment. 

With this New Moon, I remember to extend patience when I feel others aren’t up to speed. I remember to embody humility when I catch myself thinking that I alone have the answers—a setup that has never ended well.  

I know that generosity has its own kind of wisdom. I know that feeling generative has its own kind of wealth. A good teacher facilitates a space for others to think for themselves, rather than selling an idea. I consider how I can inspire a process of exploration and curiosity in others and myself.

With this New Moon, I recommit to living beyond the stories that I’ve created about how life should be. 

I remember that, while I’m generally comfortable in the realm of ideas, it is always wiser to stay soft. Vulnerability has its own wisdom, exchanges are key to my growth, and I want to, need to, and am ready to let the good stuff in.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

Some days healing comes in like a gentle breeze, softly tipping what was disjointed back into place. Without fuss, games, or any big hoopla, this New Moon helps me bear witness to what is working now. 

If astrology teaches me anything, it’s that nothing lasts forever—I’ll take the gifts this moment offers for anything but granted.

Bounty is taking shape behind the scenes, and I am happy to host it for a sleepover. I know big things are on their way; opportunities that will require an expansive exertion of energy from me are just around the corner. For now, I am content with what is cute and quiet. 

A great escape and the softer side of my psyche is welcome. I align myself with the regenerative forces of nature that need no praise or pomp and circumstance to do their job. The invisible good that is taking root right now will become a key component to what will eventually help me build many bridges with the world at large. 

Until then, I will soak in any celestial splendor offered and let myself be renewed in the process.
