Besides Venus rolling through the rocky, deep terrain of the Uranus/Pluto square and the sun making a considerably contemptuous square to Mars, much of February is full of many points of integration, excitement and some hard earned ease.

The past six weeks had a heavy emphasis on loss, letting go and giving way to a reality that we may not have chosen but one that we now live with. How we choose to live with it is up to us. This is in large part due to the extreme nature of the last Mercury retrograde. As it crossed back and forth over the Uranus/Pluto square, it was unrelenting in its realness. It’s the kind of astrology that shakes one about and strips one down so that we are left with less, but also made privy to what can never be taken from us.

As Venus enters that same terrain (though it will not retrograde back and for over it, praise Goddess) the lessons that we learned over the Mercury retrograde cut a little closer to the heart. Venus teaches us about how we connect, how we love, how we value and how we feel about all we are in partnership with. The goddess of love and relationships doesn’t wait for a convenient time to fall in or out of love, she merely follows the impulse of her heart and its longing.

We fall victim to our longings. They make us vulnerable because we cannot forever resist what we truly love. Indeed, to pursue them means that we must actively and courageously engage our potential. Too much self-knowledge and self-love can be gained when we dare to wake up to the truth that resides there. Venus conjoin Pluto can be an obsessive, intense and tyrannical lover, but Venus conjoin Pluto can also be the cathartic, transformative and deeply regenerative journey. Venus square Uranus shakes loose the false or insincere sentiments and let us know which loves were made to stick around.

The rest of the week is flooded with frolicking sextiles that want to encourage growth and getting along. Mars puts the moves on Pluto by sending a passionate sextile from its place in Scorpio. The sun makes a receptive sextile to sturdy Saturn and inventive Uranus, helping us to take what is good about the structures we work in and innovate what is not. There is also a receptive trine between Mercury and Jupiter that assists us in making practical plans to move forward now that the Messenger is direct. Later in the week the sun clashes in a square with Mars. This combination can force us into a war of personalities. Following that is a sultry sextile between the lovers, Mars and Venus.

In short, the week is a varied mix of influences. The trines and sextiles help us to make the most out of contentious conflict. Take the smooth with the rocky and see if a little grit can’t help you come up with a lot of gratitude for what comes your way.

The new moon in Aquarius falls on Monday, February 8th so in large part this week gets us ready for the next lunation cycle.

Aries & Aries Rising

Be unafraid of your own force. Be willing to master the power it provides. Be unwilling to override those that are too timid to take up their own power and instead consider showing them the ropes.

You have an extra jet pack of propellant in your backpack. In part it comes to you through collaborations with others. In part it comes to you through understanding the energetic investments that you have made and honoring the sincere contributions that you have made. In part this is your moment to move mountains.

Take your team seriously. Show those that are with you in your work that you value their effort and that you’re down to support their evolution. Join forces with those that share your visions and leave a little extra wiggle room to negotiate through conflict if it arises. With power comes responsibility and even though this week gives you many green lights to advance with, it also gives you the practice you need in conflict resolution. You’re the big boss right now, so handle small problems with great tact before they have the opportunity to turn into deeper issues with less room for resolve.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Your beliefs can either hold the complexities of your heart or they are no good to your long-range growth. You are aloud to be a contradiction. You are allowed to have multiple emotions that don’t mix. You are allowed to be wrong and right at the same time. You are allowed to be in progress, in search of what can hold you and in relationships with the ones that help you to learn the biggest spiritual lessons of your life.

But you aren’t allowed to bowl folks over with your conviction if they actively resist you. Keep your warm charm for those who appreciate your efforts. Keep your eyes and heart open to receive the messages that you need to hear from others. Keep taking your biggest complaints to your Creator. Speak, study and be in relationship with what gives you solace and what holds your faith. Enter the houses, the temples and the archways that help you open to the fact that you are more than this earthly life and yet your greatest gift is it. Keep digging deeper into the spiritual lessons that your heart can teach you and the heart-centered lessons that your faith can bring you back to.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

If you can hang out with the hard-earned nuggets of truth that you’ll more than likely encounter this week, you’re bound for a breakthrough. If you can hang out with the myriad of feelings that arise when you get into the intimate details of living life interdependently, you are well on your way of experiencing epic eye-opening events. If you can hang out with the heart-altering information that comes to you through support or collaboration with others, you are well on your way, period.

You’ve got very well supported-lessons in love (and letting go of trying to control how that comes to you) on the way. The more that you can appreciate how love shows up, the more it will be able to.

These next few weeks are about to jump-start you on a journey that will require that you carve out a new route for yourself. It will take courage and pluck. It will take great feats of engineering and a drive to stay the course. It will take heart-smarts and brainpower to get to the places that are awaiting your arrival. It will take you far if you take this all to heart and make the journey in earnest.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

The sacred chambers of relationships have housed your most important healing moments these past weeks. The next seven days aim to line the walls of your heart with the lessons learned.

What we learn through love is never forgotten. We don’t forget how we felt when we were forgiven. We don’t forget how it felt to be held. We don’t forget how it felt to be understood.

What we learn through fear is also held close for most of us. We don’t forget the feeling of being rejected, refused and misunderstood. We have to work hard at making peace with the fact that we live in the land of imperfect human behavior. Ours and others. To be alive is to bump up against hurt, hope, shame and perfection. To be alive is to walk around vulnerable to harm and to ecstasy. To be alive is to be in relationship with all of life.

This week relationships help you to unearth the specifics of what holds you back, holds you hostage and holds you to your integrity in intimate relationships. This week relationships will continue to be a prism of important and unending information. This week relationships will reveal their strengths and their weaknesses, which will help you to discern how to move into or out of them.

Leo & Leo Rising

While you might still be getting to an understanding about how to best take care of the duties in your life that need doing, this week might push up against you emotionally, exposing the feelings of really not wanting to do a certain task or two. As much as you can, listen to your body when it throws itself into revolt. You might not be able to relinquish yourself from the chore wheel, but you might pick up some very interesting information about why you are in such resistance.

Sometimes all we need to do is acknowledge that we’ve bitten off a little more than is comfortable to chew. Sometimes we just need someone to give us a little pat on the back, even if that someone is us. Sometimes all we need is a little reframe in order to tame our beasts of burden.

Also remember to ask for help. You might find friends and/or coworkers happy to assist you, wanting to lend a hand, and just waiting for your invitation. You might find those that you are in important partnerships with wanting to work out the ins and outs of how everything can get done that needs to. You might find important lessons about intimacy, control, negotiation and cooperation inside menial tasks like getting the dishes done and dinner on the table.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

Hearts so tender-strong must take courageous plunges into the waters of regeneration from time to time. This week is that time. This week might put you in a precarious position as intense feelings arise and mingle with the desire to break free of what calls you in so deeply. This week time may stretch itself out and feel like it lasts for a thousand thumps. This week time might stretch the arteries of your heart so that there is room for more love to flow through. Different kinds of love. Leveling kinds of love. Uplifting kinds of love. Love of a different breed than you’re used to.

Feel into this revised flow. You are integrating recent lessons on an emotional level. You are learning about which rules help your heart heal and which rules tend to cut its learning short. You are learning which situations help you to expand your self-expression and which ones make you feel caught in old complexes about not being worthy of the space you take up. You are learning which set ups leave you feeling loved for who you are and which ones leave you feeling like you don’t want to live up to what others want you to be.

This week wants you to learn about the depths you need to reach in order to get creatively free and the lengths that you’ll have go to to let your love for others breathe.

Libra & Libra Rising

If you are willing to sit with the way it feels for long enough, you’ll understand the nature of this particular bit of your story. If you run from it, it will inevitably morph into another situation and follow you around like a stray dog.

If you are willing to sit with it, however it appears, you’ll be saved from confusing it for something that will last an eternity. This too shall pass.

If you are willing to accept it exactly as it is, it will transform itself almost instantly into energy for you to use as you wish.

But if you resist this part of your healing journey, however it is manifesting, it will most likely wrap itself around your emotional body like a branch of possessed ivy, unwilling to let you move forward. You are more then primed for this week’s cosmic curriculum though. In many ways you’ve mastered the art of getting down to the heart of the matter. The only addition this week brings is that you’ve got to face the feelings that may only now be surfacing.

This can help you unlock a lifetime of bottled up energy, energy that was spent trying to stifle and control emotions that you may have deemed unfit for everyday life. But everyday life needs to be able to contain the extraordinary range of every kind of human experience. So let yours in and see what kind a release is awaiting you when you allow life to be as it is.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The beginning of the week bodes well for your tribe. Your ruling planet, Mars, makes a handsome sextile the Pluto. This combination gives you a determination, a power and a potency that is undeniable and yours to work with as you want to.

Because the week is a mixed bag, one that wanders in and out of contentious and kind set-ups, it’s very important to consider what exactly you want to utilize that kind of power for. There is something left that you might need to say, some clarity you might need to gain or some tender part of your heart that you have left unfed by the words that have been left unsaid. This week offers you a chance to dance on that fine line of stating your needs clearly and not being insensitive to others in your sentiments.

This week also offers an interesting mix of family time, time at home or time with those you live with that helps to inform you about what you need in this area of life. There is an interesting mix of building a good base and coming to a conclusion that may cause a little conflict. Old issues run deep, but we can’t run away from them.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

You’ve got a way of wording things right now that is especially important to your mission. You’re most likely expressing an interesting mix of eloquence and eerily timed truths. You might rouse some attention this week when you decide not to play it safe. You might make a Freudian slip that reveals the true nature of an interaction. You might let a cat out of the bag that refuses to keep quiet. You might be able to make these interactions – as varied, impactful and startling as they may be – into something valuable and long-lasting. Something like a faith in yourself to meet the moments of your life with clarity and an ability to value yourself no matter what hot water you find yourself in.

There is much to be said for the recent lessons learned about valuing yourself and the resources you have to work with. This week continues to help you contemplate how to cultivate them, encourage them and put them to use in the world. See what you contribute to your work everyday. Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

Emotionally you could be tying up some lose ends that last month left you with. Emotionally you might get dropped into feelings that overwhelm you. Emotionally you might want to take a break when you can catch one. And a breath.

Sometimes we need to understand something intellectually before we can make sense of why it lands a certain way emotionally. Whatever changes you have been moving through this past month and a bit are now ready to be integrated, understood and incorporated into your feeling life, your intuitive intelligence and your heart smarts. A few deep feelings never hurt anyone. Just make an extra effort to not take things personally that aren’t about you. Just make sure to measure the success of your relationships by how well you show up for them, not by how long they last. Just make sure to see yourself in relationship to a process, not only a mere moment.

This week has many productive, valuable and workable and features for you to utilize as well, which is important to focus on if feelings start to make you immovable. Get to work on the things in your world that need your keen knack for structure, order and discipline.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

If there is a structure that you have been working within that is working well for you, keep it, build it, become one with it. Present yourself, your ideas and your dedication to your cause now because your skills are impressive and you are bound to be heard.

You are in a position to garner a lot of support. Your people see you. Older, wiser ones see you. They see the ways in which you are able to innovate and move forward with your life purpose. They can assist you, and will keep doing so for most of February. Show up to show them that you are as serious as your skills.

Cultivate the kind of persona that is strong enough to reveal the aspects of yourself that you formerly had to hide. This week closes out a chapter of the latest round of reckoning with deeply implanted fears. The thing with this week is that it gives you enough support to see your phobias for what they are and are not. The thing with this week is that you’ve also got good reason to move through challenges instead of being stumped by them. The thing with this week is that you’re feeling yourself, and when you do so much more becomes manageable.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

There is value in down time. There is value in working secretly on something. There is value in giving yourself the go ahead to create behind closed doors.

Sometimes daydreaming is the most productive thing to do.

There is something to mend with a friend, through your collective, or something healing that you can do with the help of others. You might have to make yourself more vulnerable. You might have to ask for what you need. You might have to risk being seen in a different light.

Be real with those that roll with you. Dare to strip away your emotional armor. Dare to be redeemed. Dare to see what your relationships are really made of so that you are not resisting help or healing because of pride or prejudice. No one wants to be rejected by the group, but we give up the opportunity to ever really be known when we play it too safe.

You might have a revelation. You might see that your ability to express yourself honestly and your unwillingness to back down or give-up on what is important to you are powers that you possess in abundance right now. You might find a new confidence in your ability to speak up. You might find that you have all the resources you need from those that already surround you.
