North Node in Gemini and South Node in Sagittarius
Ever wonder why eclipse seasons recur every 6 months? It’s because the nodes of the moon are always 180° from each other, on opposite sides of the zodiac. When the Sun approaches one of the lunar nodes every 6 months, it slots into the perfect geometric relationship to form eclipses during the new and full moons. The (“true”) lunar nodes entered Gemini and Sagittarius in May 2020, and they will remain in this axis until January 18th, 2022. The final eclipse on this axis, before the nodes switch to Taurus and Scorpio, will occur on December 3rd, 2021 in Sagittarius.
Eclipses can bring plot twists in the corner of the chart they fall in. A South Node eclipse (which we’ll experience on December 3rd) can initiate processes of release: the jettisoning or letting go that must occur before we rebuild from sturdier foundations. The North Node eclipse (which we experienced most recently on June 10th, 2021) can bring people, things, or events into our life. Both can be thrilling. Both contain their own dragons.

North Node in Gemini
As you go through the process of unlearning a great deal of institutionalized knowledge, your peers and social media feeds have a lot to say. The stimulating, nuanced conversations you’re having right now are actually moving the goalposts quite a bit, and you might find that your entire frame of mind will have shifted by the time 2021 draws to a close.
Those books, podcasts, and blog posts you’ve been consuming with a quickened appetite are finding you for a reason. Diversifying your media consumption and following new people online is akin to throwing breadcrumbs on your proverbial path, and your output could very well match your input if you’ve been busy documenting your inspiration.
New developments with siblings, extended family, or neighbors could also be the site of a major plotline.
South Node in Sagittarius
An extended period of reckoning with your teachers has a way of changing your outlook on life, but that doesn’t cancel out the deflated-tire feeling of losing respect for the mentors who taught you so much. Still, diverging from what may very well be an elitist, problematic, and/or centralized institution is a common step along the path for many a great thinker.
Questioning your politics, beliefs, and spiritual lineages is the whole point right now; inviting in greater nuance will help metabolize that processed matter into compost for your mind.
This may also be a time for turning away from some of your international pursuits in favor of a hyperlocal collaboration, or possibly defecting from whatever was playing the role of “organized religion” in your life to explore your custom-made magical praxis.

Taurus & Taurus Rising
North Node in Gemini
You’re in the midst of a growth cycle that may leave you feeling more tangibly resourced than you have in a long time. This could absolutely take the form of a pay raise, but with the North Node throwing open the gates to a very Gemini influx of multiplicity, you might also experiment with diversifying your income streams in a bid for greater security and sovereignty.
This will likely involve money, but it doesn’t have to. The real game changer will be the spate of possibilities you’re now in a position to consider, or a new outlook on your survival needs. Before the year draws to a close, you’ll have rewritten your relationship to consumerism, infusing the script with fresh nuance and new ideas.
South Node in Sagittarius
Change never unfolds in a vacuum. As your personal stockpile expands, previous sources of material support may dwindle. In fact, part of your push toward greater independence might have to do with the fact that you’re in the midst of a separation of some kind, or a moral reckoning with where your money is going.
Perhaps you’re feeling more than a little unsupported by the financial mechanisms that are supposed to provide for you. As you disentangle your life from the people, corporations, and institutions you’re losing faith in, consider that divesting from whatever you don’t believe in ultimately creates space in your life for a more nourishing network of support to replace it.
