November 11
Sun conjunct Mercury Rx at 18° Scorpio
For the first time since 2016, Mercury will pass directly in front of the Sun, making the most invisible part of its retrograde journey uncommonly visible. Not happening again until 2032, this transit invites us in to catch a glimpse of its mysteries. Mercury is the traditional ruler of astrology and many wisdom traditions.
But this trickster doesn’t grant access to its goods until the recipients are ready.
Like all self-secret systems, those seeking knowledge only receive it when they are prepared in some way for it. The most important things in life are like this. What’s worthy of respect takes its sweet time.
Today’s astrology primes us to receive little gems of intuitive information that we would normally rush past. Happening a day before the Full Moon in Taurus (and directly across from it), there is a double emphasis on stilling the unnecessary activity of life in order to be open to the deeper meaning of it.
As I wrote in the last set of horoscopes:
“Today, Mercury Rx leads us right into the heart of the matter. Secrets get revealed, hidden masterpieces get discovered, motivations get uncovered. Because this year Mercury’s transit of the sun is visible (appearing as a little black dot that moves over the face of the sun), the magic of what is mysterious is offered up for us to work with. These are more than mere sleight of hand tricks, these are moves that only masters know. Whatever you are learning about working with the more challenging aspects of the human psyche, healing the wounds of your lineage, or working through what generally feels too challenging is helped out. Pay attention to the wisdom you are getting let in on.”
Since this transit is occuring in Scorpio, we know that the lessons are deep ones whose meaning cannot be denied. Scorpio doesn’t do anything halfway. For some this may render the heart a little more tender and the defenses a little more vulnerable to being deconstructed. Go easy with the uncovering. True healing is never done in a rush.
November 12
5:34 AM PT – Full Moon at 19° Taurus
Mars in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 25°
There are few Full Moons as well situated as one in Taurus. Here the Moon is famous for its ability to help us slow down and enjoy the finer things in life.
Like sleep. Like rest. Like really good pasta, a freshly made bed, thriving plant babies, and cuddles with your favorite cutie. Anything that reminds us to tend to our physical needs, be in awe of the natural world, and worship at the altar of pleasure is a top priority to pursue under these beams.
But like, in a very relaxed way.
Sextile Neptune in Pisces, and trine Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn, this Moon is only interested in making friends that add to its quality of life. There’s no need to rush. Like all opposing signs, Taurus is the antidote to Scorpio (and vice versa). Where Scorpio relentlessly hunts for subterranean truths, Taurus is content to enjoy what is present for what it inherently possesses. Taurus wants to build what is long-lasting, something that Scorpio is too busy shedding skins and ruminating on the inevitability of death to do. Practical, ready to put a date on the calendar, and focused on what it can commit to, Taurus knows that abundance takes consistent effort and comes ready and willing to put the work in. Pleasure loves a persistent seeker of it. This Full Moon is an invitation for us all to still our overactivity and let ourselves focus on what brings us joy in the simplest and most satiating ways.
November 13
Mercury Rx in Scorpio sextiles Saturn in Capricorn, both at 16°
Sun in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°
Mercury Rx in Scorpio trines Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 15°
Today is host to some intensely helpful astrology. As Mercury retrograde finishes up its last week working backwards through the sky, it gets help from Saturn reworking structures and reminds us of the power of our imaginations as it trines Neptune. Meanwhile the Sun goes in deep with a trine to Pluto. Personal power abounds. Call your agent. Send a message to your manager. Send a statement to the world that you are ready to make good on your potential.
November 14
Venus in Sagittarius squares Neptune Rx in Pisces, both at 15°
The only current astrological challenge, Venus gets tangled up with a bad date. Disorganized and deceptive, today’s astrology might not have us highly focused, but it can remind us that we are always free to leave situations that we know aren’t leading anywhere interesting, let alone aren’t worthy of our time.
November 18
Mars enters Scorpio and remains in Scorpio until January 3, 2020
Mars in Scorpio is the private detective of epic proportions. There is no way to derail this set up. Once it’s on the scent of what’s captivated its imagination, it is more than a dog with a bone, it is a master strategist. As it teams up with Mercury, which is about to station direct, we can all use this transit to get down to business and gather the evidence necessary to prove our case.
November 20
Mercury stations direct at 11° Scorpio
You can no longer blame Mercury retrograde for your problems. Now direct and flanked by its current and super-powered ruler, Mars, Mercury gets back into fighting shape. Communication issues still have a couple of kinks to work out but no planet in Scorpio ever had an issue with a little consensual role-play. Keep your safe words on the tip of your tongue for the next week or so.
Aries & Aries Rising
As November’s Full Moon pulls focus on the generativity of your resources, it reminds you to refrain from giving your power away to anyone or any system that can’t see the inherent worth within you. Protecting what is valuable is part of keeping it intact. The world’s opinions unfiltered, uninterrogated, and unsolicited will tarnish whatever they touch.
While this Full Moon may help to increase your accounts, add an extra tip to the bill, or maximize your benefits, the real value add of this moment comes when you work on what you can without asking or waiting for anyone’s permission.
Invest in your talent.
What you do with any excess matters. Spend time with yourself. Spend energy getting to the spaces you find rejuvenating. Spend your love on those that know how to return an investment.
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it reveals the agency that you have to heal from any narratives that previously left you feeling worthless, invisible, or unaccounted for. The wounds of the past may run deep, but they aren’t beyond cleansing, repairing, and refilling with the rich soil that a new understanding of yourself needs to be planted in.

Taurus & Taurus Rising
Mercury’s retrograde and the Full Moon in Taurus team up mid-November to help you gain a deeper understanding into the delicate balance of your relationships.
We need so much more than chemistry infused into the structures of our partnerships to make the work they require, worth it.
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the Sun, an important message, truth, or normally hidden aspect of your relationship dynamics is revealed. Since the longevity of your relationships requires you to be able to both be sturdy in yourself and reflective in regards to your dynamics with others, this moment asks you to hold it all with more tenderness and less defensiveness.
Curiosity is a great equalizer, use it generously.
Garnering you much recognition, the Full Moon supports and celebrates you and the work that you have recently done in the world and on yourself. You can use this moment to tip things in your favor, give a project your all, or magnify the messages you want the world to receive from you.
Cherishing your physical being and supplying it with copious amounts of affection is one of the best ways for you to work with this Full Moon. Recognize and appreciate the sincere effort and honest work your body does for you. The emotions it stores. The stress it works through. The tension of loving others and the pleasures of letting them love you. We can wax poetic for a million years, but without a vehicle to do so through, we are just ghosts haunting a sentiment.

Gemini & Gemini Rising
The Full Moon in Taurus reminds you just how valuable restorative time is. Even a moment of it. An evening without plans. As much of its magic as you can sneak into the cracks and crevices of your life right now makes all the difference. Let life slow down. It’s how you’ll find yourself when you’ve gotten lost in too much busy. Like a child separated from their caregiver in a department store, staying in one spot increases your chances of reconnecting with yourself.
Productivity devoid of its opposite sets you up to be nothing more than a human robot. A machine without meaning. A worker bee without honey.
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it reveals the importance of the professional projects that you are working on. Listen to the messages your work-life brings you. Study the needs of what you are developing professionally. Tend to the interpersonal details that demand your attention. Speed reading is not how you’ll catch the meaning in between the lines of the current moment, but memorizing the most helpful sentiments might be.

Cancer & Cancer Rising
Community care is the account that always yields the highest compound interest. The only way to heal the world is to join forces with those that are dedicated to healing themselves and becoming a resource and partner to the collective.
Not one of us can do this life alone.
The deposits that you have made into the people, networks, and movements that mean the most to you come back to repay you with generosity come November’s Full Moon. The light that this moment sheds on your life reveals to you the quality of your care and its impact on others. This Full Moon reminds us all about the wisdom of living life a little slower. Rushing is so often a defense against our deeper feelings. Experiment with what happens when you allow love from others to land in your life.

What you have been reviewing and working on in secret is revealed for the power it possesses. Let your creative intuition guide you. Unlocking yourself from the self-doubt and fear that can so often cloud your judgement and interfere with your self-expression frees the self-confidence necessary to let the world delight in your creations.

Take your time accepting the awards that come your way.
It’s easy to rush onto the next thing, but this moment is about letting the good in your life settle into the soil of it.
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it reveals something important about the nature of the foundations that you are building your life upon. Mercury retrograde is famous for pointing out the most helpful edits to make. For you this centers on your ability to detangle your current life from your past one. Powerful emotional memories may resurface around this time, helping you to gain perspective on what happened then and how you might be unconsciously participating in the repetition of it now. With the aid of Mercury’s retrograde, remind yourself as often as necessary that you have the power to interrupt and edit how you set up your base.

Virgo & Virgo Rising
The Full Moon in Taurus highlights the many twists and turns your path has taken lately. From new highs to new how-did-I-end-up-here moments, the past year has had its mind made up about decidedly different directions for you to try out. The point hasn’t been for you to commit to any specific path quite yet, but to enjoy the change of scenery you’ve had access to. Whatever you have learned about yourself in the process is the purpose. November’s Full Moon highlights the triumphs that come because of the personal growth you’ve undergone, asking you to focus your attention and appreciation there.
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it reveals the indisputable power of your words as little spells you cast all day long. Deepening your understanding of what comforts, holds, and keeps you anchored in all things life-enhancing, the Full Moon encourages you to count your blessings, or at least count some sheep if you can’t think of any. Rest is as good as change, and you may find that the more you allow yourself to enjoy some, the more able you are to accept the offerings that others give you.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
Clear space for you. Declare yourself on your terms and for your own delight. Meditate on the nature of your strengths. Let none go unnoticed. You don’t have to be everyone’s cup of tea, but you need to know which opportunities to pour yourself into.
The current astrology supplies you with a cosmic magnifying glass for you to peer through. Careful not to focus on what you can’t do anything about. Beware of obsessions that lead to self-rejection. Be honest about what you can, need, and are ready to work on.
The astrology of mid-November asks you to retrieve any aspect of you that’s been lost in the shuffle of your life. Gather up what’s gotten away from you. This kind of magic isn’t an everyday occurrence. Not happening again until 2032, Mercury’s transit of the Sun will be unusually visible. Following suit, your inner workings will be too.

Whomever you have been able to build solid connections with is more than apparent now and the efforts you’ve both made come bearing their own gifts. Spend time with those that help you ground. Not much, if anything is guaranteed us, but the homes we build out of each other’s kindness can withstand the catastrophes the world can’t seem to live without.

There is something in the recesses of your soul that calls you to it. In the darkrooms of your being, in the creative incubators of your life, a secret reveals itself to you.
It might just be that you are in need of rest, but it could also be a direct line to what lights you up and steers you towards success.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
The secrets of your success are more available than ever to you. As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it invites you into a professional strategy session like no other. As a guest, you are invited to pull up a seat, take out a notepad, and collect the data that the moment presents to you.
Talking over your hosts is ill-advised, however.
Listen. Study. Gather evidence, tips, tricks, and proof of concepts. The messages that you do put out should be selective, strategic, and on purpose. Save your energy for the things that you most want to land. Scorpio Season teaches us about controlling the room by only making the most necessary of moves.
Wasted energy is an amateur move at best.
November’s Full Moon focuses your attention on home. Devote yourself to any spaces in your life that feel like sanctuaries. If there are none in your orbit, this is the moment to ask yourself why. As children we don’t always get the refuge we need, but as adults it’s our responsibility to find every way to build one for ourselves.

Pisces & Pisces Rising
As Mercury makes a special and visible conjunction to the sun and finishes up its retrograde cycle, it reveals to you the power of your long-term plans and adventures. What the past few weeks have been revealing is the need to be specific about what you are dedicating yourself to. Not every good idea is yours to take part in, but the ones that are have the power to change everything. Make space for the plans that fit perfectly into your life as it is in this moment. Extraneous effort will derail you from the overall benefits that want to befall you.
What is meant for you makes sense and empowers your entire life.
The Full Moon highlights the intensity of your days. The faster they get, the more I advise you to slow down. What the moment wants from you is presence, even if there is much production that must happen. Speed is needed much of the time, but this Full Moon would like you to be the antidote to it, even if only temporarily. Don’t miss these moments or the messages they wish to bring you.
