June 13th
12:43 PM PT – New Moon at 22° of Gemini
Fairly uninfluenced by any other planet, and disconnected from any other major, current astrological pattern, the new moon in Gemini is available to work with us in whatever way we need.
It’s the only one of its kind for a while (…eclipses are coming).
In Gemini, the new moon focuses on what we might learn, communicate, and distribute in the area of life that it impacts. Gemini is forever searching for its twin. A twin that can pick up on both verbal and non-verbal cues. A twin that will stay connected no matter the space both parties need. A twin that is busy dancing to their own beat, but always ready to get down to the good groves that others have to offer.
Work with this new moon by writing out, reciting, recording and listening back to your affirmations written below. Feel free to change the wording so that they resonate with you on a very specific and personal level.
Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus, both at 1°
On the same day as the new moon, Mercury, the ruler of this new moon, makes a sextile to Uranus. This gives the new moon an innovative energy. It’s a great time to break an unhelpful habit and replace it with something nurturing, sustainable, and energizing.
Mercury is just beginning its journey through Cancer, and will be connecting us to some major astrological patterns that will unfold this month and next. The area of our chart that contains Cancer is getting majorly worked over in June and July. Mercury is just beginning to articulate how deep that work will go.
Venus enters Leo and Squares Uranus in Taurus on June 14th , both at 1°
A couple of hours after the new moon takes shape, Venus enters Leo. Captivating, charismatic, and undeniable, Venus in Leo knows how to attract attention and keep it.
Venus’s journey through Leo will trip over some other major astrological movements, just as Mercury will. The area of our chart that contains Leo is another summer hotspot, and in Leo, dramatically so.
June 15th
Mercury in Cancer opposes Saturn in Capricorn, both at 6°
One major theme that Mercury in Cancer is working out has to do with our responsibilities, boundaries, and obligations. As Mercury faces off with Saturn, the most scrutinizing of all the planets, we are asked to be so as well.
Watch what you say yes to. Only agree to what you can truly do leading up to this transit. This may be a time where you feel unduly burdened with what is on your plate. Saturn can feel limiting to those that want unlimited possibilities, but working within its creative containers can be incredibly strengthening.
As well as sobering.
Do your work to the very best of your ability, stay true to your word, and honest in your intentions. It will do your work and your world wonders.
June 18th
Neptune stations retrograde at 16° of Pisces
Retrograde until November 24th, Neptune will travel between 16° – 13° of Pisces from now until then. Moving incredibly slowly, this planet only traverses a small patch of sky each year. Check to see if you have anything between these degrees of Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius. If you do, you are most likely being treated to Neptune’s elixirs. This planet’s impacts are, at times, hallucinogenic, blurring lines between reality and fantasy. It’s main aim is to open us up to an experience of oneness, and if we allow ourselves some time to space out and connect with non-linear aspects of self, we can have a pretty good time.
Today, as it stations retrograde we are reminded of the importance of softening our gaze, relaxing our shoulders, and breathing in the beauty of life’s infinite inspirations.
June 19th – 20th
Mercury in Cancer trines Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 14°
Mercury in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces, both at 16°
Over the next two days, Mercury connects us to the beautiful benefits of cultivating a deep and abiding gratitude for all that we have. Mercury has just been put though Saturn’s paces and if it has passed the test, today it reaps the reward. Trine Jupiter first, Mercury helps us to see a bigger dream for ourselves than we generally hold. Trine Neptune, Mercury is infused with incredible inspiration and creative insight.
Mercury’s transits today and tomorrow, help us to tap into bigger pictures, inner visions, and the emotional intelligence needed to create a life of connectivity, creativity, and meaning.
June 21st
Sun enters Cancer at 3:07 AM PT
The Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Winter Solstice in the Southern, the sun’s entrance into Cancer heralds a change of season. Whether that means spending more time frolicking in the sun, or turning inward, this marks an important turn of energy. A balance of light and dark, the solstice always exposes both within us, personally and collectively.
Venus in Leo opposes Mars in Aquarius, both at 9°
Here is where Venus’s trip through Leo turns up the heat. Sitting very close to the north node, while Mars is very close to the south, this opposition tells a tale that is far reaching and also exposing of themes to come.
Opposing a very slow moving, almost station retrograde, Mars in Aquarius, Venus has a very hefty, ornery, opponent to contend with. Today, we all meet a challenge. A relationship issue that is upsetting. An intimacy issue that is revealing. A tender part of our heart that is provoked. Meet the moments with as much interest in your own process as you do in the facts of the matter. The point is always how we approach a situation, not if we win it. There are no awards given with this astrology, just a chance to learn a little more about how our hearts work and what we need to do to work better with and for them.
June 22nd
Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus, both at 1°
As the sun settles into Cancer, it mimics the movements that Mercury made around the new moon. Today’s transit speaks to an innovation that we are invited to make in regards to the ways in which we work with the deep, emotional reserves of energy contained in the area of our chart where Cancer is found. Consider what resentments you may harbor and what amount of your precious energy they are robbing you of. Today is a good day to imagine being liberated from them, and seeking to do the work of releasing them.
June 23rd
Mercury in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn, both at 20°
Here we arrive at not only the deeper work of Mercury’s journey through Cancer, but today’s transit takes place in the same part of the sky that the eclipse in Cancer, on July 12th, will.
This transit foreshadow’s the bigger work that we will be addressing this summer, like the deep, transformational journeys that we go on when a truth connects to something at our core. Go easy with this astrological weather. We are incredibly sturdy, soft beings. As resilient as we are vulnerable.
The conversations had today may be intense and cathartic, leaving you a little rawer than normal. Take care. These revelations can be life-changing, but change is a process. Don’t rush to fix when the solution needs time to work itself out. Don’t rush towards an ending just to get out of a feeling. We can’t skip over even one millimeter of our process without having to go back later and redo it. Stay with what you feel so you don’t have to later redo what is already difficult to go through once. Stay with it so that when July’s eclipse occurs, you have cleared space to work with it.
June 25th
Venus in Leo square Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 13°
Today’s astrology turns up the volume on our need to please our senses. It reinforces the good times that we wish to have, is cause for celebration, and can definitely persuade us to overdo, rather than to conserve. Give yourself the good time you crave, just don’t complain about the results come time to pay the bill.
Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising
With this new moon I take a moment to understand what my daily rituals, rhythms, and activities encourage from me. Are my days vehicles for connection with what and who I hold dear? Do I have time to listen to the loves of my life, reveling in their beauty and exquisite oddities? Are my days constructed to hold me and my needs close? Do they leave me feeling loved and appreciated and loving and appreciating? Do they honor my curiosity, encourage my inquiries, and challenge my assumptions?
With this new moon, I clear my calendar of unnecessary clutter. I remember that time is a gateway to build a life of meaning through, and I mean to make mine into a dissertation of care. Empathy. A meditation on connection. A declaration of how gorgeous it is to experience the whole spectrum of the human condition.
I cannot out run sadness, pain, or despair. I am not greater than the sorrows that humankind creates, maintains, and must grapple with. I am not impervious to the conditions I was born into, and grew out of. I am not beyond being impacted by the way my heart breaks.
Nor do I want to be.
With this new moon I remember to speak to myself with incredible kindness. Care. Compassion for all the depth my soul seeks. Every mark life makes upon me, every groove, scar, and opening it leaves me with is mine to cherish. What I do with these impressions upon me is my message and it is always, always, always to learn how to love more honestly. With this new moon, I plant that intention within me.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising
With this new moon I reinvest my energy into all that sustains, maintains, and piques my curiosity for living this life in the fullest, deepest, most honest way I can.
With this new moon I ask to find new ways to work with the gifts that I have been given. I ask for the insight to discover aspects of them I have thus far overlooked. I ask for the patience necessary to work through what gets in my way.
Obstacles always appear before goldmines do.
May I remember to cultivate a relationship with something bigger than the material realm, so that when it ebbs, I know how to flow. My talents were meant for this world, even if the world doesn’t realize it yet.
I ask for the wisdom to understand that my gifts are far greater than me, and that it is an incredible honor to be the bearer of them. I ask for clarity when developing my relationship with them. I may not always feel worthy to do this work. I may not always feel that I have anything to give to it. I may not always feel that my efforts are impactful. I know that I forget. Lose hope. Lose perspective. Lose myself out in the world at times. And I know that I can return. Reach out to those that love me in all honesty. Guide me with great thoughtfulness. Reflect to me what is truly extraordinary: the love that lives within and all of the possibilities it possesses.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising
With this new moon I remember to take my time. Reclaim my space. Witness my recent growth and wonder what might next want to emerge through me.
I clear my life of the build-up of unnecessary clutter so that new inspiration can move through me more freely. I dispose of detrimental debris. Do away with dust collecting relics of a past I am unwilling to return to. Denounce the idea that I am in debt to any system that sees me as unworthy.
I search my insides for signs of shame. Signs of misalignment. Signs of miscalculated investments of my energy.
I look for the ways in which I have given to anything that inhibits my growth. I scour my inner landscape for the agreements that have me offering what I needed to keep. I review my last year for times when I cared more for love from others than respect for myself.
I begin this next cycle with a clear vision of my well-being. My intention is that everything I put out cycles back in a supportive fashion. I am willing to work with great intensity, honesty, and rigor, but I do so in service of all that I hold dear, and all that I wish to make more of, and make more from, in this life.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising
Healing happens. Not linearly. Not by request. Not on my watch. But infinitely fine layer by infinitely fine layer, I encourage myself to allow what is soothing to sink into my being.
Healing happens. Without me solving the problem that produced the pain in the first place. Without me rearranging the world as I want it to be. Without being able to protect myself from the sharp edges of future sorrows.
Healing happens. Like a fog, it rolls into me. Unannounced. Permeating my being. Hydrating my inner eco system. Relieving the heat of my scorn.
Healing happens and on the days that I forget that, I ask that divine intervention find me. I ask that some force of nature interrupt me. I ask that some holy truth refuse to let me refuse it.
Healing happens and with this new moon I do everything that I can to remember that. I search out the deposits of hopelessness that have settled into my being. I gather up the doubts that have burrowed themselves into my subconscious. I call up the aspects of my being that have always felt too out of place, too out of date, too un-lovable to take part in my life. I retrieve all the information that I can from these sources and shower them with the love and acceptance that they always needed and never had.
Healing happens, but not without constant care, effort and admission of what hurts.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising
When I am empty of inspiration, lacking in luster, low on hope for the future, I turn to those who care about the same things I do. The friends who find what I have lost. Those who pick up what I forgot I had put down. The many who produce what gives life its glow. The ones who hold what I have run out of bandwidth to reach around.
With this new moon, I recommit to showing up for those that weave this web with me. As a remedy for my own isolation. As an offering of friendship to those that might feel locked within their own circumstances. I remember that folks that appear strong, resilient, and capable need to be checked in with as much as those who show their vulnerability, their struggle, and their sorrows. I know that we all carry with us invisible baggage. Extraordinary stories. Hidden scars. With this new moon I remember to be kinder to those around me. More willing to witness the entire person. More open to having it reflect my own journey back to me.
As I witness the entirety of those around me, I witness myself in fuller form. I know that as I do the inner work necessary to shine in the world, I am carving out possibilities for all who may need an opening. The fabrics of society are woven densely. With thick and often unsurprising threads. As I dare to flaunt my colorful yarn, weaving it into my work in the world, I may attract more criticism from the naysayers, but I also help to spark the imaginations of present and future generations. Those that will take what I have done and do something unimaginably incredible with it. I know that I am never working in isolation, for everything I touch extends itself out to others who will in turn, I have no doubt, end up inspiring me.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising
Without a dream at its sail, my career has little chance to ride with the winds of opportunity. Without a connection to something greater than my own ambition, my career can only create so much for the world that has given it shape. Without gratitude for what I am granted, it’s hard to find a way to be of service sustainably.
With this new moon, I take a moment to meditate on how my professional pursuits can help engender a greater sense of connection to the rest of my life. To my purpose. To my people. To those in need. To the parts of me in need of it.
I know that without feeling a part of something larger, my professional energy wanes. My spirit drags. My hopes dash about in search of something more. I work with this new moon to center myself. Focus my energy. Gather my efforts and direct them towards what is meaningful to me.
With this new moon I remember the power of setting intentions and building my life around them.
My professional life works best when it springs forth out of what I am dedicated to working on personally. Every bit of healing I experience gets filtered through my work. Impacting every inch of it. Deepening every aspect of it. Developing my awareness so that I understand that there is no separation between the inner work I do and the outer achievements I dream of, dedicate myself to, and make into a reality.

Horoscope for Libra & Libra Rising
The more I allow my dreams to exist within me, the more I am able to see evidence of them taking shape in the world. Even the tenderest of green shoots emerging from the soil of my days is proof enough that what I desire to create is also desiring to be created by me.
I know that every time I believe in my path it becomes more clear. More real. More of an open and inviting road.
I construct a career that leaves space for possibilities. I work within the reality of my situation so that I have a firm grip on the mechanics of it. I understand the ins and outs of my profession so that I can subvert the systems that get in the way of the growth that I am going for.
The new moon reminds me to recommit to the journey that I am on. It asks me to put action behind the plans that I envision. It asks me to be more concerned with mapping out my movements than talking a big game about them.
There is no time to waste and there is nothing more attractive than making things happen. I am magnetizing to me all those that are interested in getting free and getting to know what might be created from such a space.

Horoscope for Scorpio & Scorpio Rising
With this new moon I reset my relationships with my most important collaborators. My contributors. My partners in pursuit of getting out into the world what is ready to roam on its own.
I remind myself that I am not in this life alone.
I remember to seek out the partnerships that keep me thinking beyond my lived reality. Those that connect me to what feels affirming. Those that reinforce my part in something bigger while still being able to bear witness to the difficulties this life doles out regularly.
I put myself in spaces where it is normal to feel grief, given the world we live within, given the human condition we struggle through.
I surround myself with those that can sit with a depth of feeling. Move with joyful optimism. Meditate on the meaning of the hardest and softest aspects of being a human. I cut short no part of my experience and I seek to join forces with those that can leave room for the same kind of variety.
Honestly is the only way I want to live.
As I begin to put more of my work, my philosophies, and myself out into the world I know that it is natural to come up against all that internally and externally inhibits me. As this occurs, I study the obstacles. Seeing what, if any, wisdom they hold. Observing the ways in which some delays are productive; important in my editing process; valuable for my learning curves. I notice when self-doubt rears its head, disguising itself as an appropriate excuse for procrastination. I counter these thoughts with the best argument that I’ve got: either I give this my all or, at the very least, a large part of me will always wonder what could have been.

Horoscope for Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
With this new moon I take a moment to pause in appreciation of the relationships in my life. For all those that help me to open to a deeper experience of my own. For the folks that do not pass over my pain, but instead help me to unpack it. Understand it. Come into relationship with it.
For those that help me hold the complexities of my experiences. Those that remind me that, no matter what I face, there is always something profound revealed about my process in doing so. For those that remind me that my wounds aren’t a liability, they are my access point into a greater ability to glean meaning from my life.
What hurts helps to inform me of how to hold tender things more tenderly.
I know that I am in a profoundly important moment of my healing. As I learn more about how I hold my pain, how I have been hurt over my lifetime, and what activates those feelings in the present moment, I am granted access to sources of invaluable information. The kind of information that helps me to make more informed investments of my time, energy, and talent. The kind of information that helps me to make clearer distinctions between what I owe and what is owed me. The kind of information that helps me remember that so much of what I face is temporary.
Everything, everything, everything changes.
Everything shifts. Everything has its own way of unfolding. I work with this new moon to cultivate a curiosity for my own way of working through things, so that I may trust my process more and fear its ups and downs much less.

Horoscope for Capricorn & Capricorn Rising
I learn through love. Through allowing the transformational gaze of those that care for me to penetrate my defenses. Through my ability to get myself to spaces and places where people are learning to love themselves. Through being in a process with someone until it has evolved, composted, or come full-circle.
I am renewed through my ability to care. For myself as well as for others. For my well-being as well as the beings around me. Through showing up in equal measure for my personal and our mutual growth. Through knowing when fatigue has taken over me and it is time to balance my system. Sort myself out. Refuel so I don’t remove myself completely from the company that keeps me feeling a part of rather than apart from.
The new moon reminds me that my well-being needs a mix of many things: meaningful work, meaningful interactions, meaningful ways of sharing my burdens. The less isolated I am in my struggles, the more open I am to understanding the many ways in which they intersect with others. The less I keep entirely to myself, the more able I am to understand the parts of my pain that are not personal to me, but designed structurally by the powers that be. The less power I give those outside forces that profit off of my suffering, the more I have to reinvest in what keeps me healthy, and moving toward whole.

Horoscope for Aquarius & Aquarius Rising
With this new moon, I recommit my energy to the creative projects that keep me feeling connected. To my purpose. To my joy. To a way of working through the hardest hurts that I harbor. I know that finding ways to authentically express myself is a vaccination against isolation. It may not cure every aspect of what ails me, but it is a proactive antidote to many things that do. I know that finding ways to release my energy helps to flush out my energetic system. I know that the transformational impact of purposeful self-expression helps to keep my motors running. I know that when I feel that my work makes an impact on the world, I am given a powerful infusion of what might be described as hope.
I work with this new moon and the astrology that follows it to uncover something about my professional process. What is occurring there for me is deep. Healing. Burrowing down and through some of my most substantial issues around my worthiness. Self-doubt is a disaster but it is also a great teacher when I can hold it with perspective.
If it arises I will remember to question it, asking which part of myself is doing the doubting. Is that part cunning or just conditioned to do so? Can I counter these beliefs with a more well-informed argument or do I need to outsmart my system with the diversion of learning something new about my craft? Whatever the cure, I am curious enough to try every remedy available.

Horoscope for Pisces & Pisces Rising
The new moon reminds me to honor my needs. To get in touch with what is non-negotiable. To call in what I can no longer put off.
With this new moon, I recommit to giving myself the things that help me build an honest foundation for my life. One that holds the losses and the gains of my days. One that welcomes sweetness and offers salves for the pain. One that curates a curiosity about what fulfills me.
As I grow so too do my needs.
What was meaningful to me in the past may no longer satiate my system. What this moment calls for is what matters. I am meant to change my tempo, my tastes, my ways of making myself at home in the world. Nothing that I need is off the table now. I offer it all to myself with great generosity and trust in the abundance it will bring.
With this new moon, I welcome the ways in which I am being challenged, stretched, blessed, and abundantly rewarded for my creative work. The young people and/or budding creative projects in my life are portals of great transformation. What they teach me about overcoming my own inhibitions is immeasurably important. The impact of which helps me to get in touch with what I have been disconnected from or unsure how to bring into form. I remember that healing from any shame I have been harboring helps not only my work with others, but also my ability to have an incredibly good time.
