Monday: Venus in cool your jets Aquarius opposing Jupiter in hot under the collar Leo

When Venus opposes Jupiter we might be led to over exaggerate romantic feelings. Given the fact that Venus is in Aquarius there is only so much cooing she’ll put up with from Jupiter in Leo though. Jupiter in Leo can puff prose for days, exhibiting every ounce of flair she has to spare. The key to surviving this transit is to keep it simple. This combo can have us over exaggerating, overcompensating and over-committing. Don’t.

Monday Night/Tuesday: Mars conjunct Neptune in the romanic, mystic, messy, musing, confusing, altruistic water sign of Pisces

Anytime two planets unite it’s considered to be the beginning of a cycle much like a new moon. In this instance Mars meets Neptune in Pisces and it’s an odd blind date. Pisces is a water sign. Water works wondrously when bathing but it is much harder to point in a specific direction. Mars is our direction. Mars is our individuality. Mars marks our ability to make definitive decisions. Neptune symbolizes the collective unconscious. Neptune is a fog. Neptune is fantasy. Neptune is an alternate reality where individuality and drive don’t really exist. The combination tells us that we must be willing to look within as well as at the same time looking out. The combination dances with the double edge sword of deception and redemption. This aspect can be indicative of having the wool pulled over our individual and collective eyes. Notice how you/we are being duped.

Tuesday: one of two new moons in Aquarius occurs

This new moon is a hyper-humanitarian Aquarian. It’s backed up with a supportive sextile from Saturn, the sign’s ruling planet. In a supportive role Saturn helps us make manifest our visions, but Mercury retrograde says that we can’t without reconsidering how we are framing them…

Wednesday: Mercury’s next retrograde cycle begins, also in Aquarius.

This will be from January 21st to February 11th. Pluto squares the moon’s nodes just before this occurs letting us know that deep purges are possible. Uranus applying to a conjunction with the South node of the moon lets us know that we must revolutionize our role with what binds us to circumstances that leave us feeling obliterated and burnt out.

Aries & Aries Rising

For this new moon (January 20th) for the duration of Mercury retrograde (January 21-February 11th) and for the following new moon (February 18th), I encourage you to look at your life through the lens of good fortune. Last week may have dealt you dirty but that is no reason to change your outlook from expansive to narrow.

We must find the courage to expand so that we can no longer tolerate narrow spaces.

The next four weeks crack open the seal of your social life asking you to pay attention to your comrades, partners in crime and co-conspirators. There is a heavy focus here in the next few weeks so if there are contracts that need reworking use this time to get the details straight. That being said, you might want to double – no – triple check all documents if you must sign agreements in any joint venture.
