7:19 AM PT – Full Moon at 8° of Sagittarius
The full moon in Sagittarius blooms early in the week, bringing with it yearnings to grow, expand, and optimize our opportunities. Sagittarius loves nothing more than a good quest. This sign believes without a shadow of a doubt that the truth is out there and it has more than enough fire in its belly to inspire us all to seek it out for ourselves. Sagittarius knows that any horse can be led to the wells of wisdom, but that doesn’t mean they will recognize them as such. Each one of us must find our own ways to the hearths that warm our hearts and minds.
The full moon in Sagittarius arrives with some subtlety, though not much sobriety. Sextile Mars, it has some get-up-and-go. Square Neptune, this full moon points to both the power of our imagination and the potency of our delusions, projections, and unchecked anxieties. Neptune untethers us from reality, which can be incredibly useful when we need to dream up alternative scenarios to our life circumstances. If we are to dream up a future, a path forward, as Sagittarius would want us to, we are well-served to do so with little restraint and a whole lot of room to grow.
At this point in our history we have enough evidence of what occurs when humans put their heads in the sand, refusing to bear witness to and take action when atrocities take place around us. At this point in our history we know that there is no saving ourselves unless we are as dedicated to each other’s freedom as we are to our own.
If Neptune teaches us anything it is that there is no separation between us. When we know of an evil and do nothing to intercede its ways, we allow harm to happen in all directions. Harm that takes lifetimes to heal.
Even one child separated from their parent creates a grief to big for the world to hold. Even one migration interrupted is too big an opportunity cut short. We each hold such an incredibly important gift to offer the world. Even one of these pearls of potency that doesn’t get to live itself out is a tragedy, and a theft, from all of life.
May this full moon instill within us a faith in each other so great that we remember the power of our combined rally cries and use them. May the light of this lunation be shed upon the care that we have for one another and our dedication to cultivating more of it. May the power of our love always outshine the insidious grasp for power and the pain it inevitably produces.
Full moon blessings,
Mercury enters Gemini (there until June 12th)
A couple of hours after the full moon blooms, Mercury moves back into one of its home signs. In Gemini, Mercury takes no sides. It is happier to try and understand all of them instead of being tied to any one angle indefinitely. Mercury in Gemini has a powerful reserve of inquisitive energy. Bopping from one idea to the next, this placement is best used to explore and articulate the many sides of a situation.
At this phase of Mercury’s cycle however, the Messenger is moving too fast to make much concrete use of. Moving at full speed until it crashes into the sun, Mercury cannot be seen from now until mid-June. Covered up by the bright light of our solar star, Mercury might be a little more of a trickster than usual, covering data and encouraging confusion, especially on June 6th. This stage of Mercury’s cycle reminds us that Mercury’s retrograde isn’t the only time The Messenger can make a mess of our best intentions, though tomorrow it gets a little help from Mars.
Mercury in Gemini trine Mars in Aquarius, both at 5°
Today, Mercury is infused with a moment of direction and courage. Communications come at a fast pace, arguments are made with swiftness, and we might feel the urgent need to get a message across but we should be wary about being overly convinced by our own arguments. More data will be revealed come late June.
Venus in Cancer trine Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 15°
Via Venus, the beginning of June offers us a moment of abundant astrological flow as an almost perfect grand trine in water forms between Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune just after the full moon. “Almost perfect”, because these three will be close-to-exactly aligned, but not quite. Within a space of 24hrs Venus will make a trine to both Jupiter and Neptune, making June 1st and 2nd perfect days for taking part in all things pleasurable. While Venus is creating this pattern, it also picks up the lose ends of the Jupiter/Neptune trine that occurred on May 25th, spreading its poetic sentiments across our charts and lives.
Today, as Venus and Jupiter line up to form a harmonious trine to each other, we are gifted with the libations of their combined generosity. Venus connects us to our pleasure centers. Jupiters centers expansion and growth as its agenda. Together in a trine, they remind us that no matter the maladies of the world, or our lives, we owe it to the generous energy that brought us here to celebrate when and where we can. Together, Venus and Jupiter remind us of the sacredness and the spiritual wisdom inherent in connections that help us access deep feeling. Venus in Cancer wants to connect through exchanges of sustenance and the liquids that are life giving and affirming. Jupiter in Scorpio wants to expand as it deepens, yearning for meaning made through transformational transactions. These two have emotionally potent joy on their agenda and we are well served to get with their program.
Venus in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces, both at 16°
From Jupiter’s grand chariots to Neptune’s dreamy drag races, Venus aligns with the Goddess of Intoxicants today. This transit is most definitely drunk in love, and while you don’t want to be operating any heavy machinery under its influence, it’s a spiritually inspired affair. Being swept away by the beauty of this combination is common, and can be incredibly healing. However the love and creative projects that it inspires today will need to be tended to tomorrow. Romance is sweet, but sweeter is a deep and consistent care for ourselves and our loves. Nothing is sexier than attending to, with great love, joy and admiration, all of our pursuits and suitors.
Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn, both at 20°
While Venus has been busy having a whale of a time with Jupiter and Neptune, today it meets its match in an opposition to Pluto. The waters its been splashing in turn into tide pools, pulling it down and into a journey of intense transformations. The heart is a hearty organ however, performing magnificent feats of nature everyday. Today its muscle gets strengthened as it is asked to do its part to unclog a valve, helping more love to move through it eventually.
Mercury makes its superior conjunction to the sun at 14° of Gemini
Generally this a point in Mercury’s cycle that brings a moment of clarity, insight, or intense downloads of ideas. However, both the sun and Mercury are applying to a square to Neptune, blurring the lines between reality and really good fantasies.
Sun and Mercury in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces, all at 16°
Here conversations get clouded by projections, fears and anxieties. It’s not a good day to make major decisions, plans, or detailed lists of what needs to get done. This moment may feel a little more like Mercury retrograde than we’d like. It can be used to indulge our imaginations, allowing ourselves a moment of succumbing to our fantasies to see what facts they actually contain about ourselves and our situation.
Mars in Aquarius conjunct the south node at 7° of Aquarius
As the warrior moves at an uncommonly glacial pace, it makes a conjunction to the south node of the moon. Mars is moving so slowly because it will be stationing retrograde on June 26th, and begin traveling backwards for 9 weeks. This little run-in speaks to a much bigger pattern that we’ll be reliving throughout the summer months. Not only will Mars be retrograde during this time, but we’ll also live through another round of eclipses, featuring none other than The Warrior itself. It’s a hot and bothered type of business, one that will reveal much about how we channel our anger, both personally and collectively.
Today, this transit may exaggerate the need to win within us, but it may also exacerbate the issues that we face globally in regards to overheated egos and the threats that they get a rush from making. Anger is a potent elixir, one that needs to be worked with in a container of great care.
Mercury enters Cancer
Now Mercury starts to clear a path forward for itself, apart from the sun. Reappearing as an evening star by June 19th, Mercury uncharacteristically swims through Cancer’s emotional waters with greater clarity than it had while in Gemini. Plans can move with greater efficiency now and any difficult communications that occurred have an opportunity to get sorted out.
To lose faith is part of the process. To forget that life has a way of turning itself around is human. To remember to love ourselves through our struggles is divine.
The full moon that comes with May’s closing reminds you of the spiritual power of appreciating your path. Of the fact that it is the only adventure going. That it is an education. A blessing to bear witness to. A gift that never fully reveals its ways all at once.
The full moon at the end of May reflects back to you all that you have done to help yourself grow. Learn. Live the life that you have been given. All the sites, temples, sanctuaries, and halls of healing that you have carried yourself to, accumulate in importance. The readings, the sessions, and the ways in which you have situated yourself so that you are aligned with what is spiritual sustaining, have been the key to your growth.
Give yourself some appreciation for all the efforts you have made towards your own unfolding.
The beginning of June reveals something wonderful taking root in your life. A feeling of home. Grounding is everything when we are working at building something substantial with our lives. The grand trine between Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune lines up to help you feel settled in yourself. Like an anchor that drops, you are given access to feeling more secure about your situation. Let this understanding permeate your being. Let yourself believe in your own ability to make a meaningful life. Let your roots sink into the soil of your life with great confidence that you are exactly where you need to be.
This astrology reminds you that all you need is within you while, at the same, asking you to become more aware of what gets in the way of that knowing. What old stories of not being enough and being far too much occupy the territory of your soul that should be solely your own? Feel free to evict any unworthy tenants in your psyche so that you might come to inhabit a little more of yourself in the long run.
I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for Tuesday’s full moon in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop (now 50% off).
The full moon at the end of May reminds you that it’s more important to let go of what you’ve outgrown than it is to finish something because you said you would. Your value add isn’t dependent on your ability to suffer through an ill-fitting situation. Remember that your departure leaves room for others to enter.
Unpacking the lessons of certain exchanges, the full moon asks you to ponder what they give to you and what they need from you. What are you able to do because of the gifts that come through your collaborations? What are you able to offer because you have found the right fit for your talents?
Our success in life is largely dependent on our ability to find the give and take that gets us. The right gifts in the wrong scenarios are wasted. The right scenarios with the wrong gifts are easily misunderstood as a failing on our part, when really we are just misplacing our efforts.
The full moon fills you with the knowledge and the courage to seek out the situations your soul’s gifts need to flourish. Trust these intuitions.
As the beginning of June unfolds it brings you important messages. The good news flows for a few days. Listen to it and pass it on. Send notes of appreciation to those you think about often but don’t reach out to enough. Make a little more room for good friends, food, and feeling connected to sources of beauty and beneficial exchanges. Try talking to yourself in loving tones. Try going about your days seeking small but substantial pleasures.
Goodness expands in our lives when we give it room to flourish.
The beginning of June may also bring with it a positive shift to your daily life and routines. Your schedules get a boost, perhaps helping you to purge the habits that make inner-peace impossible.
I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for Tuesday’s full moon in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop (now 50% off).
The full moon at the end of May reflects back to you the quality of your relationships. The balance of your beloved and/or business one-on-ones gets revealed so that you understand in greater depth what needs to be next addressed.
Relationships unfold in layers. The depths of which are explored only by those willing to do the lifting. The unveiling. The revealing of the most tender parts of our hearts. We need partners who are able to do the work alongside us. With us. Within the container of what we have committed to. Without that commitment we can have a good time, but not one that can stand the test of it.
Work with the full moon to get a better understanding of the kinds of commitments you need at this moment. At this point in your life. At this stage of your growth.
As June begins to take shape your work receives blessings that remind you that the power of your visions are as important to acknowledge as what has come to pass thus far. The astrology of June 1st and 2nd asks you to honor your dreams. When you don’t, you are too likely to fall for, and live out, those of another.
Currencies of all kinds flow towards you, helping you to appreciate the assets that you naturally possess. Helping you to deconstruct the resistance that you have to being supported. Helping you to understand the ways in which you learned to devalue your assets. Helping you to get to know in greater detail the nature of your professional needs.
If you are to flourish out in the world, you’ll want to understand how you may aid in your own demise. Fortify yourself with this knowledge so that you can coach yourself with greater accuracy for the game that you are actually in. Career advice is an incredibly personal matter, not a problem that has a one-size-fits-all solution. The deeper your awareness of your gifts and your burdens, the clearer your professional path forward will be.
I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for Tuesday’s full moon in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop (now 50% off).
The full moon at the end of May reflects back to you the triumphs that you have recently experienced in your work life. You have a better understanding of what works well on its own; let it keep doing its job. Encouraging what is already taking shape to continue along its course is an integral part of working sustainably. As one area of your work needs less from you, direct your awareness to what still needs guidance, attention, and effort from you. Whatever feels a little unclear needs to be tended to with appreciation for what it is teaching you. Take every opportunity to grow that greets you. Your work, your projects, and your sense of well-being depend upon it.
As June unfolds, the first few days offer you an opportunity to do the same. The grand trine between Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune on June 1st-2nd asks you to exhale. This formation is connecting you to the sources of sweetness in your life that are ever present but not necessarily always ever conscious.
These fountains of good feeling are overflowing. This moment may grant you incredible ease. Grace. Goodness no matter the other kinds of weather around you.
But ease can also reveal how you have a hard time letting the love in.
This planetary line-up can expose the resistance you have to what wants to care for you. Support you. Carry you through. It’s up to us to work out when we are shutting out pleasure because we fear reliving pain, and when the sorting through of painful experiences actually helps us understand them in greater depth. The beginning of June is your invitation to understand where and when you allow yourself joy, and where and when you can honor the wounds that have led you to reject it, without letting them entice you to repeat their patterns.
The full moon at the end of May helps you to appreciate the potency of your creative capacities. Your ability to direct this aspect of your energy brings you major payoffs at the moment. With long-lasting impacts, this full moon shows you the importance of believing in your visions. Whatever dreams you have been cultivating in that brave heart of yours are beginning to show themselves as real possibilities. Substantial situations taking shape out in the world. Concrete proof that your instincts and intuitions can and should depend on.
Your instincts are onto something and you would be remiss not to value the information that they bring.
After the full moon begins to fade, June greets you with sweet undercurrents and reservoirs of precious and life-preserving energy. As Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune form a grand trine in the sky, they realign you with something equally harmonious deep within. A feeling of inner well-being is not to be underestimated, devalued, or delegitimatized; it is one of the worthiest goals to strive for. As these three planets perform a rare and beautiful formation in the sky, they remind you of what flows easily within when you let it.
Love is perhaps the most reviving of rivers that flows through your personal underground. Streams of this kind of kindness need to be frequently tapped for your renewal. Take some time during the beginning of the month to familiarize yourself with meditative practices that bring you back to these places. Remembering to have compassion for yourself, with even your smallest of struggles, can have an incredible medicinal effect on your entire being. Wish yourself well, wish yourself love, and wish yourself peace. Repeatedly.
The full moon come the end of May helps you to better understand, and possibly heal, a wound from your past. The light of this lunation shines upon your foundations, asking you to acknowledge the truth about your situation. So often we have to tell ourselves stories only partially true about our family dynamics. Even after eons of investigating we find old tales to unravel, revealing a lie that has had a long-standing impact on our lives.
In understanding your past you give your present, and future, a chance.
A less dramatic, but still potent impact of this full moon can lead those under the Virgin’s influence to clean house. Never a waste of time or energy, a little domestic sorting goes a long way in helping attain personal and professional clarity. As this full moon reveals to you, what you sort through in your personal life cannot but help your professional one work more smoothly.
As the effects of the full moon fade, the first few days of June bring you a major boon in terms of your social networks. With cups overflowing, the parties you attend offer loving libations that soothe the soul. Whatever weariness has settled in your psyche can be reversed by hanging with the right crowd. Make sure that you make time in your calendars for the folks that keep you afloat as they are more than likely to be offering important connections, opportunities, and ways of viewing an issue. Whatever burden you need help with can be eased by allowing a little more joy, laughter, and love to flow through your days, nights, and weekends with others.
Horoscope for Libra & Libra Rising
The full moon in Sagittarius at the end of May brings with it important messages. Messages about the ways in which you have structured your daily life. Messages about your short and long term goals. Messages about how to link the small actions and tasks of your days to the big goals you wish to see come to fruition in the future.
Pay attention to the information you are receiving. Try to be aware of the moments when you brush off your own intuitive knowledge. Make a point of acknowledging when something comes true that you instinctively knew.
As the full moon fades, the beginning of June brings with it major boons for your professional situations. Through your relationships and ability to build with others, you are granted opportunities to expand. This growth can definitely lead to material gain but, more importantly perhaps, it also points towards what is meaningful, inspired, and spiritually sustaining about your work.
Protect this. Protect the projects that are too new to do so themselves. Protect the positive sentiments that are infiltrating your psyche. Protect your professional unfolding.
These opportunities want to teach you a thing or two about believing in the dreams that seek to move through you. Each one that you have is a gift. Each one that you have, when opened up, reveals something about your essential nature. Each one does not need to be realized in physical form, but each carries with it an energetic truth that holds a key to your current situation.
The dreams that you have for your profession are as important to acknowledge as any substantive accomplishment you have made. The professional dreams that you deny will only torment you until you turn towards them. Talk them out. Air them out. Maybe even live them out. Better to be in conversation with what wants to inspire you than to drown out the energy that is trying to support you.
The full moon at the end of May comments on the ways in which you support yourself. The ways in which you make a living. The ways in which you have been able to create meaningful work and the dreams you have of working in ways that are energetically aligned with the rest of your life.
Never deny your life its own dream.
If the full moon doesn’t bring with it a financial bonus for your energy and efforts, re-invest in your ideas of how that might one day be the case. Little grows without encouragement. Be the fertile soil, adoring sun, and relieving rain for your creative inspirations.
As June beings to bloom it brings with it some incredibly growth-enhancing astrology. Growth grants us the room to witness what has formerly held us back. The sorrows, scar tissue, and disempowering sentiments. If we welcome our growth we have to acknowledge the part of us that would rather stay comfortable than take the risk that our well-being requires. If we are serious about our growth, we have to take all of ourselves with us as we expand and, in doing so, we must acknowledge the aspects of our being that we’d rather be without.
Forgive yourself for any moments that you have rejected yourself.
Forgive yourself for that thing you did that was so insignificant no one else remembers it, but that was so horrifying to you that it still haunts you. Forgive yourself for that time you were just doing what you knew how to do, even though it wasn’t the best thing to do. Forgive yourself for the ways in which you have betrayed your own best interests by trying to satisfy someone else’s needs.
Forgive yourself so that you might have more space to experience yourself. With less remorse. Less fear. Less fractured selves to bring back together. Forgive yourself so that you can enjoy yourself and join with all of life that does the same.
Horoscope for Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising
With the full moon in Sagittarius revealing the depth and breadth of your potential, you are able to witness something about yourself that you usually bypass. Life comes at all of us quickly. Without pausing to reassess our position we often forget our ability to make the impact and imprint on our lives of our choosing.
What we allow our imagination to dream up is one of the most important starting points for all of our successes. Don’t hold back on your ability to dream up the scenarios you want to live out just because your analytical mind can’t conceive of how they will come about. Create it first in your imagination, then follow it up with effort, excellence, and a healthy amount of perspiration.
The beginning of June brings you closer to the ones you love, live with, and share your most personal assets with. The depth of feelings that flow during these first few days help you to find new places within yourself to call home. The healing that happens here doesn’t just stop with you. Know that what you have been working through personally works through you generationally. What you heal in yourself you heal for your entire family line. No matter your relationship with relatives, what you do to heal the hurt passed down, for whatever reason, is the starting point to alleviate the pain held in your bones, blood, and being.
You can’t un-break the hearts and hopes of those that came before you, but you can heal that part of you that is from them. The pain can progress into possibility. The trauma can transform into something unforeseen. The wounds can awaken within you a depth of love and appreciation for your path and all that it has brought to you.
The full moon at the end of May helps you to untie a psychic knot. It assists you in getting some closure. It reveals the more shadowy aspects of your psyche, the regrets, the impact of accumulated losses, the importance of not denying yourself a feeling.
Don’t ignore what is trying to get your attention.
Full moons like these may cause a little unease, but the feelings that they help to bring to the surface contain within them incredible pearls of wisdom. It’s not the feeling itself; it’s the memory, the formerly lived experience that we have buried due to shame, guilt, or an un-namable discomfort, that holds the key to our quest. Only in becoming brutally honest about what has occurred can we move forward with great clarity of purpose.
As the impact of the full moon fades and June starts to unfold, you are gifted with an abundance of adoration, support, and a sweetness that cannot be soured. Those that you consider your most important partners are situated in such a way that they are able to offer you what you didn’t know you needed but were aching for. We all have ways of protecting our hearts from hurt, but this is a time to deconstruct the walls that keep the flow of love from hydrating your entire being.
In general, the first couple of days of June are especially poignant for all of your relationships and social interactions. Make room for meetings, calls, and connections that fill you with energy, enthusiasm and a sense of possibility for mutual prosperity, good times and pleasurable exchanges.
The full moon at the end of May will shed light on the importance of community in your life. The issues that friends are facing, the strength of the bonds between you, and the quality of the connections that keep you afloat are revealed under the moon’s night light.
At the same time, your work-life goes through a healing intensive. Opportunities flow towards you at the rate at which you are able to offer yourself to them. Over the past 7 months your career has gone through the thrilling and sometimes exhausting process of expansion. It has required that you have more faith in the big picture of your life and less attachment to the comings and goings of your daily wins and losses. This broader perspective has asked you to hold your story with a greater compassion. A greater appreciation for all the efforts you make that go unnoticed, but are essential to the quality of your work. A greater honoring of the gifts that you possess and the power that they have to lift your entire life.
The first days of June are a true mix of effort and reward as the good in your professional life also pulls up the fear of not being enough in equal measure. This is how good growth takes root, however. When we open up to the gift of expansion we also agree to the work of deepening our relationship to all that gets in the way of it.
Horoscope for Pisces & Pisces Rising
The full moon at the end of May sheds light on your most public of roles. Careers come in all shapes and sizes. Whether or not we get paid for our life’s work it doesn’t make it any less impactful or important. The full moon asks you to honor the contributions that you make to the whole. It asks you to recognize the ways in which you show up in the world. To understand and appreciate this as your calling.
Not everyone can or will answer their call. Any degree to which you can do so is incredibly important, not only for you but for the entirety of humanity. Be careful not to judge what you can’t fully understand the impact of. Be careful that when you speak of your career, your worldly roles, and your work in community, that you do so with encouragement for the things that you do. Be careful not to fall into the trap of denigrating your labor just because it hasn’t met someone else’s idea of accomplishment.
Take pride in everything that you do with presence. Pouring your energy, love, and attention into anything is a holy and sacred act of devotion.
As the full moon fades and June takes root, it teases out similar sentiments. The beginning of the month entices you into feeling and following the flow of your life. It keeps you aware of the graciousness of your situation. It reminds you of the abundance of teachers and teachings that you have right now. It encourages your creativity to explore more of itself, and to explore life and all of its possibilities. You don’t have to do anything in particular with this energy but being a channel for it will definitely heal, cleanse, and restore you in deeply soulful ways.
