Brain on fire.
Heart attacks any peace cultivated by its most recent bout of rapid thumping.
Another threat. Another lie. Another betrayal of justice. Another piece of fake news with far too real consequences to digest before breakfast.
They want it this way. They want us dizzy, heart-burned, unfocused, fried, and frayed all the way to the edges of our soul. Preoccupied. Overwhelmed. Discouraged.
They want to keep us from our courage.
Their male fragility banks on their belief that we’ll obey their dinosaur regime and become incubators for their evil. Their over-zealous egos block them from being able to comprehend our unwavering persistence in spite of their cheating, scheming and villainous acts. They fancy themselves kings with dominion over all. Dictating. Ruling. Ruining.
They think force is power. But there is nothing more powerful than the collective force of persistence. Educated, organized, heart-centered persistence.
In the face of evil, we have proven that we persist with our hearts in tact. Open. Willing to love ourselves and each other through this. We will not be torn apart by this. We are strengthened by the ways in which they try to divide us.
In the face of fascism we continue to persist, arm in arm, with hearts thumping to the beat of the battle cry. Fiercely loving all we hold precious. Letting it lead our way forward. Together.
In the face of the witch hunts they have set out on, we roar our truths because it is our job to break every silence that a Presidency of Fear banks on us keeping.
We are the continuation of an age-old, creatively persistent resistance.
This is the first in a series of eclipses in Leo, and this is just the beginning of a two year tale we will all have a part in telling.
On February 10th at 4:33 PM PT, there will be a lunar eclipse in at 22° of Leo. Leo is a sign of great strength, courage and heart. Ruled by the sun, Leo’s warmth and magnanimity attracts all manner of attention. As the sign that is ruled by the force that holds the center of our solar system together, Leo reigns with great confidence. Leo is the heroine. The force of life that will not stop giving its light. Leo energy rises to the challenge. With a fiery creativity that cannot be tamed.
Leo burns bright.
Drama is its game. Whomever serves the story with the most sincerity wins the applause of the crowd. Drama is dangerous if we are swayed by the over simplistic tactics of screaming man-babies, but drama can be used to our advantage if we curate just the right kind of show.
Right now we are being asked to reach down into the center of our hearts, the center of our souls, the center of our own life-force and pull out from within us the antidote to fear: unwavering, unrelenting, persistent creativity.
This eclipse is completing a grand trine with Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. Unpredictable is Uranus’s nature. Conservative is Saturn’s. A grand trine is an aspect of great flow and prosperity. This combination can be fortunate for those willing to roll the dice and risk it all. It can be jarring and jolting to sensitive systems. It can be just the amount of fire needed to get us moving in a direction that we have been too comfortable to try. It ultimately asks us to work with the changes in our lives and learn how to creatively respond to the challenges posed by them.
The eclipse is also sextile Jupiter, an influence that encourages growth, openness and abundance.
This eclipse is an unpredictable win.
We win every time we recreate this world in the images that would do our ancestors proud. We win every time we find creative ways forward to lead ourselves and each other out of the narrow mindedness of patriarchs and hierarchs. We win every time we broaden our base of allies, broaden our ability to learn from one another and broaden our networks of resistance so that evil will inevitably be caught by its own lack of imagination, ensnared by its own gnarled heart and confused by the spiritual audacity of those that choose to act as if they could recreate the world. And then do so.
Lunar eclipse blessings,
